  After one visit to Norris Lake, we were hooked and knew we wanted property. We sought out a realtor and found Marie Ayers at Ridge Real Estate. Marie was wonderful! She took the time to understand what we were looking for and after some hard work and very creative resources, she found the perfect location - even before it hit the market. This was key as everything was going so quickly once it was listed. Since we were not local, she drove out to the property and gave us a virtual tour of the place. We soon made an offer and it was accepted. We bought the house and are happily settled in. However, her interaction did not stop there. She continues to answer questions we have about vacation rentals and the area, always very responsive and professional. I certainly recommend Marie and Ridge Real Estate and will definitely return should we decide to purchase another property. They go above and way beyond!!

  When we were looking for a home to purchase at Norris we were not very familiar with the area. Marie spent many hours and multiple weekends showing us different properties and after two and a half months she found us the perfect vacation home for our family. Marie’s knowledge of the lake was incredible and could not have asked for a better realtor. Highly recommend Marie.

  Whether you’re buying or selling Marie will work hard to get the best outcome for you. She sold our lake house for more than we ever expected to get for it. There were several bumps in the process, but Marie kept us updated, handled all the issues and we closed with both sides happy. Would definitely use her again!

  Getting Marie Ayers as my real estate agent was one of the best choices I have ever made.   When we decided to seriously looking for a Norris Lake property we wanted to make sure we had the right realtor. For us, this was someone who would answer our questions timely, be knowledgeable about the area, work for US to find they type of property we were looking for, and most importantly, someone who cared about us and would not just try to sell us any property. Having a parent that’s been a long time realtor in another state, we were VERY picky white who we worked with. We didn’t know any realtors in the area. So, I started looking at who was out there, did my research as best as possible and started calling them to “interview” them. We talked with a number of realtors in the area. While many were good, Marie Ayers stood out to us. She was quick to get back to us on our initial inquiry. She spent time in our initial discussion talking about the local market, how she works with clients, and sharing some of her expertise with us. Most importantly, she listed to us. I explained to her in the initial call that I ask a ton of questions. Throughout the process, I asked a ton of questions and she answered each one. We didn’t know anything about the TVA and docks but she sure does among many other things. There were things when we would look at a house that she would point out that we would overlook (good and bad things). We would send her listings we saw and she would say, “maybe,” or “that’s not going to work for you based on what you have told me you want.” Once we made an offer on our property the work for Marie began. She helped us negotiate a good contract, discussed the inspection, followed up through the closing. But, even after the closing when she could be onto the next deal, she has helped us with our questions because you always have questions after the close. I am a relationship person and I want to work with someone who I can trust, who works hard for me, someone who is prompt at returning a call or email, someone who is an EXPERT and knows the laws and regulations inside and out. I want to work with someone who, if I decide to buy another property I would want to do repeat business with them. Marie Ayers is that person! We hope to buy another property in the future and we will call Marie for that as well. She exceeded our expectations for a realtor.

  Marie is very knowledgeable on real estate and local lake regulations. As a longtime resident of the Norris Lake area, she has many local contacts and past clients. Through her prior relationships, we were able to find a lakefront home in a very tight market. We are very thankful that we chose Marie!

  Marie is the best. I'm an experienced buyer/seller and would never think of using another realtor. She is genuine, honest, and caring. She tells it like it is and really knows her stuff. I can't imagine she'd ever advise anyone not to get a home inspection or mislead in any way. She is responsive and prompt and one of the hardest working people I've ever seen.

  Whenever I my mother was selling her house and tried to contact Maria she wouldn’t answer the phone and always said she was out of service and wouldn’t return my call at all or it would be a few days. She was slow to get things done and my mom received more information from the buyer/realtor than she did from her. She just didn’t seem motivated to sell the home. Luckily the buyers realtor was motivated to get her clients the home. Would not recommend just for the lack of communication.

  Glad I saw this. I rarely ever get on google. If your mom is who I think she is I first want to say she was delightful to work with and I apologize that you seem to be misinformed. Real estate is more complicated than anyone thinks and especially when I can’t disclose details of the situation. I think what your referring to primarily happened because the buyer and seller, who were neighbors, began communicating and their agent nor myself could not stay in the loop.   We were looking for property on Norris Lake and being from out of state were not familiar with the area. Marie went above and beyond to show us aspects of the areas we were interested in. She and her staff are very knowledgeable and attentive. Walked us through every step of the way until we closed on our property. Highly recommend!!

  Marie Ayers went above and beyond in helping us with our home buying experience. I highly recommend going with Ridge Real Estate. We were having trouble with buying our home due to non cooperative sellers and repairs that needed to be done before approval, and she went to the home and made the repairs herself. It was not even her listing! So she took a huge leap of faith to help us get this home, and we are ever grateful to her. Also, our agent was Kim Phillips, and she was great as well, having patience with us through the process , and going out of her way to also help. If you want a company that will get things done, go with this one!
