  I don’t think they really want to help people who actually need help. No one ever answers the phone you have to leave messages for everyone and just pray they call you back. If you do get a answer someone will quickly say hold on and transfer you to someone’s voicemail. Then you get the run around on everything and nobody has the same information for you . Not to mention every other week someone is going to be out of their office for the week and you can’t get in contact with them. So much for helping the people.

  The absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. I regret my decision to get a mortgage through this company. I plan to refinance when the time is right.

  This isn’t a review, anybody that got the help and reads this how long did it take before you actually got it im going on a month and still don’t have a case worker

  Very difficult to get a mortgage. Everyone I’ve talked to (friends and family) have ranted and raved about the experience especially for those who have blemished credit or lots of revolving debts and whatnot. I don’t qualify by myself because my DTI is too high, allegedly…. But they asked for my wife’s paystubs for consideration of repayment…. Then, it was suggested we apply jointly. My wife has something on her credit that is prohibiting us from obtaining a mortgage at all. They expect us to get an “explanation” overnight for what’s on our credit but don’t take into consideration the time it takes to obtain from the creditor. People who work there are far from empathetic and literally just call to “follow up” to check off the box. I won’t be contacting them again. Right now, I’m planning our move OUT of RI. Processes down south seem tons more easier and lenient.

  RI Housing made purchasing my first home a very smooth process. They got back to me in a very timely manner and answered all my questions even if they may have been a pain. They are hard workers!

  I'd give 0 stars if I could. I called to make a partial payment over the phone. I don't know the name of the lady I talked to but she was by far the rudest human being I've ever talked to. Worst customer service of all time. I understand why they such a low rating.

  Not customer service friendly at all!! The offices are closed to the public. I thought everything was open now ? Guess not a mortgage co. They were in the office , I just had to call them from outside the door to talk to someone . And get transferred to another dept. to another lady who sounded like she had other things she’d rather be doing . Talk about no oversight or customer service . I just wanted to drop Off some papers and make sure things were in order and talk to a person .

  I know everyone has different experiences with different reps, services, companies etc., but from my personal experience with this lender, they are truly the most honest, trustworthy and helpful business people I've ever dealt with. My wife and I have only had one mortgage, and one home, and we have always stayed with them because of thier exceptional customer service. Don't get me wrong, we've had our own frustrations with bills and the cost of life, and have been in many predicaments before when it comes to trying to balance a household budget, especially on our small and limited budgets since 2007 while with them, but we have always worked things out and they were instrumental in allowing us to stay in our home, especially when we both went down with Covid last year. The key to any good relationship is full disclosure, transparency and mutual trust. I got all of that from them and I have always responded in kind. If you are looking for a trustworthy and professional Mortgage Lender, with very competitive rates and unique programs, who you can trust with your home, RI Housing should definately be a consideration. I don't normally write very many reviews because rarely am I overly impressed with run of the mill companies with mediocre customer service. I don't know anyone who works here or have any special reason to promote them other than to give credit where credit is due. No Pun intended. I wish anyone who may be reading this the best of life always. Thank You RI Housing.

  The WORST experience. My husband and I just bought a home in August 2020. They didn’t waste time making mistakes. I will never obtain a loan from this agency ever again. Besides the multiple dropped calls, twice they tell me I was late with my mortgage and of course it was not true. Either way, they supposedly corrected it on their end. However, it was still reported to the credit bureaus and my husband and I credit score dropped dramatically (-74 pts). I call RI Housing back and crickets. Finally, someone picks up and the call is miraculously dropped. I want to scream!!! This is my credit that they are messing with. What an unprofessional and disorganized organization. Do anyone know who I can report this to?
