Not having a good experience with this bank. With COVID restrictions, banking online is even more necessary. But when their site is down, with the upgrade a few weeks ago and now it is completely down, I think we are better off moving to a different bank. Our banking needs are not being met when we cannot rely on the site to be available. Unfortunately we have to wait for the direct deposit for the refunds/IRS stuff before we can close the account. Not a great way of doing business.

      Response from the owner

Good morning Chris, we did have a small hiccup this AM with our website, but all is resolved. The short outage this morning did not affect our members ability to connect to online banking on desktop or the mobile app. We hope to be able to continue to serve you. Be well.

Don't bank here!!! They don't care about their customers or you having access to your own money!!! The only bank in Tucson that won't let their customers come in and do transactions without an appointment. They decided to do a software upgrade over this weekend, locking their customers out of their accounts, couldn't withdrawal cash from THEIR atms, and all atm cards were being declined. When I finally was able to speak with someone today their answer was, well it happened to alot of our customers this weekend. No apology, no remorse. Just don't do it. Save yourself the frustration of not being able to get groceries for your kids, put gas in your car or anything else you normally do for your family!!!

I love this credit union. I have been a member with Pyramid for ~13 years. They have always treated me with respect and beyond. Here are some of the great things they have done that some other banks and credit unions don't. I have overdrawn my checking account while having money in savings, and instead of overdrafting they pulled the money out of my savings to avoid a fee. When I had my credit card for a while they notified me that I could decrease my interest rate and raise my limit. They have helped me with advice, like to get a credit card when I was 18, and use it to build credit but have it automatically pay off each month so I pay no interest. Their Piggy Bank program allows me to round up my debit card transaction to the next dollar and let the difference grow at a good interest rate. Unlimited mobile transfers on the app or online. I got my first car loan at a great interest rate because I have history with them (and built credit with my credit card). If you don't love your bank, switch to Pyramid.

I had a shared account opened with my daughter (9 years old). She had made a fair amount of money, just about $100, doing lemonade stands over the summer and I wanted to teach her about saving. This was a savings account only, no access unless you walk in to the credit union. Well, I went in to check her balance one day...because she asked me what the balance was. They told me the account was closed. I said I never closed it. Then they shared that they closed it for lack of activity. I explained that it was a savings only account and there was no way to have "activity" on the account. The manager got rude with me, and said "the law" says they can close accounts for inactivity. They refused to give me any information, dates, anything about when it was closed and where the money went. Most people would call that theft...and that's what it is in my opinion.

      Response from the owner

Hello Mr. Sanscrainte, This is an unfortunate situation. I applaud you in your effort to educate your daughter in the importance of saving at a young age. Saving is a vital component to responsible money management that we hope carries over to adulthood. Statements for Share Savings accounts are mailed on a quarterly bases, and a letter would go out prior to the start of fees assessed. It can be work managing our money, regardless of the amount or the financial institution it resides in. For 90 years Pyramid has been dedicated to the betterment of it's members, young and old, and we sincerely look to "Improve Your Financial Life!". We are happy to return the funds and re-open your daughters account with the hopes that she will continue to save with Pyramid Federal Credit Union. Please email [email protected] with the subject line; Google Review 7/11/2019 Attn: Marketing, or call (520) 795-7950 and we can schedule a time to meet at the Rita branch. Best regards, Conrad R. - Pyramid Federal Credit Union

Apparently nobody understands their own system for their credit cards. Been having issues for several days spoke with Dalia twice on the phone then had to go into branch to get assistance. All three times was told not sure why it's happening but it should be fine now, all three times same problem persisted. Beware.

We have been members at this credit union for the last six years. The people here are the best. Danika is especially awesome. Nice to have a U.S.P.S. inside. The annual dinner can be a good night out. Only problem ever, ATM out of service, it happens, I don't blame employees for that. Great credit union. Josh K.

What a great bunch of people working here. I stopped in on a shared credit union plan and they were so personable and helpful. If I lived in the area I would definitely use this place.

Absolutely no respect for their members. We’ve had a loan with them for year and they won’t even consider financing a new one with no missed payments. No real reason besides “we aren’t comfortable with that high of a loan”, it’s a 40k loan when we make 120k a year.

      Response from the owner

Hello Nathan, Pyramid Federal Credit Union prides itself on serving our members over the last 90 years. We make every attempt to meet our member's financial needs, but in some cases, we are unable to. We apologize and hope that we can help you next time. All the best, Pyramid Federal Credit Union

Teller was incompetent. I went in there to deposit $ into my credit union (shared banking) and she kept saying "no such credit union is coming up." Finally, her supervisor came and helped and took care of it.

Terrible credit union. They don't call you back and don't explain things well.
