Happy New Year, Karen! I recommend Karen and her team for banking services and lending. If some issue comes up, she is the person I would want in my court because of her experience and disposition. I haven't had any problem with my services, but I don't believe in perfection. I do believe in folks who care and are competent to come fight on my team if that does come up. This is a nice branch, convenient, easy access.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Pyramid Federal Credit Union has treated me like a piece of garbage the past two and a half weeks. First, they cancelled my debit card WITHOUT telling me and WITHOUT ordering me a new one. I had to wait 2 weeks for a new card to arrive. I was not able to pay bills online--they told me I should just get a prepaid Visa card! Second, I sent my mother a check to reimburse her for bills she had to pay for me because they had cancelled my debit card, and my mother decided to not cash the check and let me keep the money. I called the bank to have the funds put back in to my account, and they said they need the check--which has already been destroyed and was in the trash--or they will charge me $25 if I ever want to have that money--MY OWN MONEY--again. My mother is a Manager at Texas Instruments, and she had to go home today and DIG IN THE TRASH to find the pieces of the destroyed check to mail back to me so Pyramid Federal Credit Union will put the money back in my account. Moral of the story--NEVER EVER BANK WITH PYRAMID FEDERAL CREDIT UNION. THEY MADE MY MOTHER DIG IN THE TRASH IN ORDER FOR ME TO GET BACK MY OWN MONEY. Worst bank in Tucson. Period.

      Response from the owner

We regret that you feel you were mistreated in anyway, as that is certainly never our intent. It is unfortunate that you were having a dispute with a merchant. This can be very frustrating and inconvenient. We discussed options with you and you elected to have your card blocked, which we explained would mean it could not be used. We did order a replacement card and that action was taken two days after blocking your card, rather than the same day, which was our error! New cards can take approximately 7-10 business days to allow for processing and mailing. Available options to handle your payments were discussed with you when the new card was ordered, including express ordering, utilizing our free on-line bill pay service, or paying your bills with cash, money orders, or official checks. Credit union official checks (what your Mother received) are considered guaranteed funds. When you requested the check be refunded into your account, we explained the options for doing that and you and you made the choice among: • Putting a stop payment on the check (this service carries a fee to cover the effort and risk transferred to the credit union with this option), and • Returning the physical check to the credit union (a free service) Official checks that are reported as destroyed (intentionally or unintentionally), lost, not received or stolen require a stop payment be placed on them. Otherwise the check may be subsequently presented and cleared. Probably your Mother didn’t know this and treated the official check like a personal check.

Highly recommend! I've been a member of Pyramid for 30 years. Their rates are among the best, mobile app is easy, the staff are always friendly and helpful, and branches are convenient when you need them (so convenient by TMC). Credit unions are better than banks because you are the owner and your money stays in the local Tucson economy. The original crowdsourcing. Bank at Pyramid. You'll be happy you did.

They refuse to cash their own checks. I have overdue rent, and owe $100 at this point because this bank has a blanket policy of not cashing their own checks if a member can't be contacted by phone. FYI...
