Puget Sound Cooperative Credit Union Reviews

Liz Leininger1I haven't stepped foot in a bank in almost a year. Due to a mobile app issue I went into this location. Only 2 of the 8-10 employees in this facility were masked, including one unmasked woman at the desk closest to the door. The staff advised me only tellers had to wear them. As a healthcare worker, my anxiety spiked because we are at an all time high of infections in this country and to not care about my safety or their own employees for the sake of comfort is insulting. I spoke with the manager about why I will now be closing my account ( I will never willingly walk into a business unmasked) and she said they were fine, they were socially distancing in one shared room indoors. With 235,000 deaths and counting, y'all should probably take this seriously. As serious as I was about getting my money out of your hands! Stay safe, tellers! You're amazing!
Response from the ownerHi Liz, Thank you for taking the time to review PSCCU. We are sorry to hear you are ending your membership with us. We have been and will continue to take the Coronavirus Pandemic very seriously, as evident by some of our practices such as having our doors locked and only allowing 1 member in at a time to limit risks of exposure to our staff and other members, as well as requiring masks. We take the health and safety of our members and employees very seriously, and we continue to evaluate practices and listen to ways to improve so we can ensure every person that comes in to our branch feels safe. Thank you for taking the time to let us know how you feel. We have sent a reminder email out to staff to make sure we are staying on top of the safety precautions in place.

Tyler Tryon1PSCCU was not very straight forward about the Green Loan. I do not recommend this at all if you ever plan to refinance your house. They stuck a lien on the equipment therefore hindering our refinance. This Lien caused a higher interest rate costing us thousands over the life of the loan. I recommend a HELOC or personal loan rather than a green loan for home improvements.
Response from the ownerHello Tyler, we are sorry to hear you are not satisfied with your experience. The lien you mention is explained in the application process and borrowers sign a “property lien acknowledgement” for these types of loans. Liens cannot be removed although they can be subordinated, but if you still have questions please let us know and reach out to the Credit Union directly.

David Rollyson1I wish I never did business with this company. Word of advise: you’ll never be able to refinance your house again if you take on one of they’re energy efficient home loans. They’ll lean your house and your done.
Response from the ownerHello David, we are sorry to hear you are not satisfied with your experience. The lien you mention is explained in the application process and borrowers sign a “property lien acknowledgement” for these types of loans. It appears our team has spoken with you about this and explained why liens cannot be removed although they can be subordinated, but if you still have questions please let us know and reach out to the Credit Union directly. Thank you.

drewnevins5This PSCCU location is right on the corner of South 177th St and Talbot Rd South, across the street from the UW Medicine building. Google maps may trick you and tell you to turn too soon (if you’re coming from the north on Talbot) but go one driveway past where Google Maps says to turn and it’s right there on the corner. The office is very pleasant and the tellers very friendly. Patty is a delight and extremely professional. I love this branch and am thankful for their location in Renton!
