Helen Feistel1We had an account with a low balance and were out of state for an extended time unable to access. When I called, I was told that to close it I would either need to go in person (not a possibility at that time) or have the account be at 0 for 30 days. We left the account as is, assuming the monthly fee would quickly take it to $0. Except not only did the monthly fee suddenly start doubling because of an "inactivity fee", but the fees took the balance below $0. I called again and was told again that the account could not be closed without either a zero balance or us being there in person. The lady at that time was able to reverse the charges to bring us back into a positive balance. I asked her if she could just zero out the account instead of bringing it into a positive balance, and she said that was not possible. She said we just needed to try to get in as soon as possible to close the account. I was finally back in town and able to get to the bank about a month and a half later, and of course they had charged more fees that brought it back below zero. This time they insisted that they could not waive those fees and that I would have to pay to bring the account up to zero before it could be closed. The whole process was ridiculous. This is not a bank that is willing to even do the bare minimum. I strongly recommend avoiding them.

Jason Morgan5My wheelchair lift broke and wasn't able to get back on my truck in the Prosperity Bank parking lot. I was out there for about 30 min in the 97 degree heat trying to fix it. One of the Prosperity employees brought me out a large cup of cold water. All the staff members are very nice and have always taken great care of me. I've been with Prosperity Bank for nearly 20 years and love the customer service. I believe it was called Viewpoint Bank when I first opened my account. Thank you.

Erik Hubner5The tellers here are always so friendly. I've had accounts with these people since I was a kid, so they make this branch feel more like family than a bank. In person service is fantastic, but I wouldn't suggest calling their Bank customer service as they like to take their time on everything.

wendi costlow4I really like the team here. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. Daniel - the manager - is very professional and ready to answer any of my questions. I am not great with technology but their online banking is really easy to use - thank goodness.

Matthew Whitted1Your account will get hacked. Mine gets hacked when it was Legacy and when it was Prosperity. Seen the lobby full of people who got hacked. I know that is a fact because the teller told me that's who the people were. Bad experience.
Response from the ownerHi Matthew, Thank you for sharing your feedback and we apologize for your negative experience. We are committed to providing exceptional service and protecting our customers accounts. We hope you give us another opportunity to provide you with optimal customer service.

Master Design & Build1On 02/29/2020 I walked into the Legacy Texas Bank with a personal check written from my client to me personally, I was trying to cash the check ($7000), the clerk asked for ID and I gave him my Texas Drivers license, they called my client to verify (so far everything is understandable) then the clerk told me he needs my social security number which I thought was highly inappropriate he said because the check was so large again, This is BS, the feds law is $9000 but for some reason Legacy has to be different, I'd love to know what the reason for this could be, if its the law fine, if this bank tries to work outside the law legally or not, I think that BS and they should just do they're job and not ask for my social security number in the world we live in today its hard enough keeping track of who has it, beside all of this I sat in line for 30 minutes, while one teller worked on 10 people, one person jumped from window to front, one lazy greeter sat at her desk and said "Sorry about the wait" and one lazier manager poked his head out of his office once or twice to do nothing, I think if I were the manager I would have hopped on one of the other 2 or 3 computers and started trying to thin the line down a bit, lazy, ignorant people.
Response from the ownerThanks for letting us know about your experience, Master Design & Build. We would like to discuss your recent visit and ask that you contact us at [email protected].

Kristopher Conte1I am a 25 year customer of Community Credit Union, then Viewpoint Bank, now LegacyTexas. I can firmly say this bank does not care about its loyal customers nor do they value a banking relationship. When I expressed my concerns about charges and issues with my 3 bank accounts with Ann the branch manager she completely ignored my concerns. She took down my information and stated she would get back to me ASAP. Never did. Two weeks later I went into her office just to see if she actually remembered me and the concerns I brought up. She did not. At this point I demanded a contact number and person for the corporate office. After making me stand in the branch for ten minutes I still received no contact person or number. At this point I was furious. Im not a low level bank account holder and keep significant amounts of cash in my accounts. I proceeded to call the corporate office and left a message for the customer relations contact. Still no response. Consumers should be aware of how this bank views its customers. I will be switching banks. Others should do the same.

Adam Sanchez1I called the call center before entering this bank because I misplaced my wallet somewhere in my house but I needed to get cash out asap and the call center informed me as long as I go inside the lobby and let them ask me a few questions about my account they would be able to give me money out of my account which is fine with me. Went in, nobody wanted to help me with this they all said no they couldn't do it without any form of identification and I practically argued with the teller about it and she finally did it, so she lied. Told me there was no money posted in my account. Looked at my LegacyTexas App and trust me, I had money! She then continued to said she couldn't help me because no money was posted on my account. Remind you, I get direct deposit every Friday and always get cash out Saturday's when I have my card and then she tried to figure out a way she could lie and say how there wasn't any until I told her to show me that there isn't . Doesn't make any sense that my app is saying I have all this money, and you guys are saying I don't. Gave her a piece of my mind and left. Went to the LegacyTexas on Virginia and I walked in and out with money! She said it's been posted since 2am Friday morning! I was already having a stressful day not finding my wallet and have to go to my bank and deal with this! I will be calling that lady Monday morning giving her a piece of my mind! If she didn't want to go thru all of that with me, she needs to work somewhere else. You work at a customer service job stupid lady! I gave 1 star because thru my whole experience there the only thing I like is that the place was clean!
