PNC Bank Reviews

Papa's John3This is the worst bank I’ve had to deal with not giving me the receipts not giving the right amount on the receipts now give me the right change bag giving too much too little I understand people make mistakes and they’re only human but it’s the fact that they are rude and belligerent while they are doing it and these mistakes are repeated I’ve been going to this bank for four years I’m still seeing the same mistakes and seem rude behavior. They could really be a good bank if they were just putting some effort into retraining I don’t believe the people are doing it intentionally but is the repeated mistakes that are wasting time and money and the rude attitude.

Marcia5Im surprised for the rating of 2.8 for this PNC branch at the Fox Run Shopping Center. So far, Im extremely happy for the great service that Justin, Dave, and Michael has provided to me either in person or by phone. Not to forget Maurice who greets me with a smile and a hello when I walk in the branch. I have interacted with Manisha and Torrey in the Pike Creek branch and they have excellent customer service and people skills as well as the team in the Fox Run branch. I have been with PNC since 1991 and have no plans of moving my accounts to another bank. I have highly recommend PNC to family and friends.

Fred Brown1My experience was horrible 2 months for a home equity loan then no return calls it just seemed like nobody really knew what was going on all the way down to the signatures needed for the loan. The only reason I went with pnc was my wife had an account there. I started out using quicken loans. Should have stayed with them. I totally understand why this branch is rated a 2.4 stars.

Juliann Neri5I had been dealing with an problem with a damaged certified check with a different local branch who had been dragging me through the ringer to get the problem resolved for a week. I finally called the Fox Run branch to see if they could assist me. I spoke with Justin who knew exactly what I needed done. He squeezed me in for an appointment that day and I walked out in 15 minutes with the problem completely resolved. He was so helpful and kind throughout the process, from the phone call to the appointment.

Rick1Horrible customer service. Went to wire money for a refi closing today at 11:30 AM -- was told that their servers were down and that I could check back in an hour. Came back after an hour (mind you - each trip was 5-10 miles and 15 minutes away) and there were now 4 people waiting ahead of me and only one customer rep. This is not the first time I've gotten poor service from this bank either. We're looking for a new bank now and it won't be PNC!!!

Explodated Faces (explodatedfaces)3PNC is Delaware's most "eh" bank. There's nothing really bad about them, but still nothing good either. They just kind of exist without really pushing their existence in your face. I use this bank both personally and professionally. It's difficult to make people care -- in a positive manner -- about something so mundane as a bank, but it's almost like they don't even want to try. They don't really care for your business, but they don't belittle you for not being a millionaire. When you visit PNC you just kind of wish they gave you a reason to either like them or hate them, but they won't. It's a lot like the feeling you get when your ex would say "we need to talk", but in this case they never actually go on and talk. It's just a non-stop cliffhanger of boredom. In this sense, the experience of being a PNC customer is so neutral that it's frustrating.

Paul Hannan1Glasgow, DE: Wanted to upgrade our account to Virtual Wallet but told no walk in service; by appointment only to talk to a banker. Literally told " we used to run like an ER, now we run like a doctor's office- appointment only. " well, PNC, you are no doctor's office. Time to find a different bank with better customer service.

Kra Zie1I went into this branch on June 19th to open a new business account for a new company I was starting up. After being told that they really didn't have anyone there who could help me they decided to take my info down to schedule an appointment. I told them I didn't want to do that because my time is extremely limited as I own two companies, manage a third, and attempting to start this fourth company. Eventually the manager stepped in and said she would help me. She took all of my documents (incorp letters, in good standing, etc), but I couldn't print out my EIN. Instead I Emailed her the PDF I received from the IRS. We agreed to meet on the following day (the 20th). She flaked on me and said she would have to reschedule and "wanted to make sure she could open the account" (lol?). Cut to today 7/5/17 (16 days later). I Emailed Jill on the 3rd asking what had happened here because I never heard back from them. Today I received an Email back stating that they can't open the account (no reason given). Luckily I spoke with a friend in my industry who told me about his horror story with PNC and how they closed out his account on him, and refused to return his money for 30 days (5-6 figures) and almost caused his company some massive issues. So I went to another bank, opened an account, and already have my first wires incoming. tl;dr if you need a bank account opened in a timely manner, and expect courteous employees who don't waste time - don't go to PNC. If you want to be jerked around, have your time wasted, ignored by the reps (including managers) please do go to PNC. They don't seem to have their act together and apparently are afraid of money. Such a strange concept for a bank.
