  I had a pre-existing relationship with Joel from when he was at Home Point Financial and now that he has his own lending operation he did not disappoint. Not only did he have the best rates of any lender that I shopped around with by far, he also was willing to do whatever it took to keep my business.   As a first time homebuyer, I was hesitant to go down the rabbit hole of obtaining a mortgage, but let me tell you - Joel will spell it all out for you in a very transparent and clear manner. His decades of industry experience are apparent at every step of the process, you really feel like you're working with someone "on the inside" of the industry, not just some big-box bank employee that might hand you off 10 times. The killer rate was a nice bonus, too - Joel does everything he can to work for you, not against you - he's clearly on your side the entire time. Don't pass up this gem!

  Joel and Kiel are the best. (mic drop) (pick mic back up) Let me explain: 1.) Knowledgeable - mortgages can be very confusing and these guys know the ins/outs. And even better, will explain it to the point a 2nd grader will understand. Yay! 2.) Communication - On point. Gave me a call when info was needed or when to expect documentation. Checked in periodically during the process just to keep me in the loop of how the process was going. Answered any questions I had promptly and thoroughly explained. 3.) On your side - While going through the process, they ask questions to figure out what best suits you and your situation. Whether you plan on staying in a house for a couple of years or found that dream home for a couple of decades, these guys genuinely care about what fits your needs best. 4.) Handsome - you bet they are! 5.) Professional - Getting a mortgage is a big deal and these guys take it seriously. Cliche to say, but you aren't just another loan number to them. They want to make this process as fluid as possible for everyone involved. I really cant speak highly enough about Piedmont. Plus they got me a great deal (hugs).
