  Great service.. I am a diesel mechanic in Alabama. A few weeks ago I dropped my DeWalt impact driver and broke it to bits. Looked around everywhere for a replacement, but I was not willing to pay more than what it was worth regardless of the condition it was in. Saw the one Pelican Pawn have for sell, made my offer for what I considered reasonable, and they agreed.. thanks guys and gals for your business and I will be buying from you again.

  I love shopping at Pelican Pawn! I have bought my jewelry here for years, and I have found some really stunning pieces! They have big brand name items including Tiffany, Cartier, and David Yurman. They even have Baume & Mercier and Rolex watches. I was there looking at rings for a graduation gift when the women next to me noticed that the same wedding ring she bought from Zales was nearly half the price at Pelican Pawn! The customer service is fantastic and the workers are very honest.

  I did a loan with my Apple Watch 3 series. It was there about 3 months and when I finally got it back, It was cracked on the back like someone that works there dropped it or maybe put something heavy on it. If you loan anything to them make sure you take pictures & check your item before you leave.

  Solid gold jewelry is a rip off. ALL prices are at least DOUBLE the actual gold weight value. Plus they list everything in penny weight instead of grams to try and throw you off. For example a 10K gold chain that is 20 penny weight. Multiply 20x1.555, then divide 10 by 24 (24K is solid gold) then multiple by what gold is trading for that day, for instance $30 a gram. So it would be (20x1.555)x(10/24)x30.

  I am sorry that you had this experience at our store Christoper. We use pennyweights because there are 20 pennyweights in an ounce whereas there are 28.34 grams in an ounce. It is easier for us to convert that unit of measurement to ounces. As far as our jewelry prices go, our pieces are much cheaper than you can get at a jewelry store regardless of the fact that some may be priced double scrap value. You will find it almost impossible to find resalable jewelry anywhere for scrap value.
