  What pawn shop asks for your social security number? Highly unprofessional. Then decides to use the notion of “military lending act, & how this is like a bank for a loan” this place sounds like nothing but a scam. What makes it even worse is how I’m a veteran who has been to multiple pawnshops in the past and this seems very discriminatory.

  Actually, Pawn Shops are under lending laws. Now you have the Military Lending Act that is ENFORCED by the Department of Defense so it is required to attain this information. Any pawn shops that are not running every customer through this MLA Database are not abiding by federal law. Please do your research before leaving bad reviews on an upstanding law-abiding business.

  I have been dealing with this outfit for a while. While always broke, poor, and living from check-to-check, I always have precious assets in pawn.. I never seem to have enough money for all my expenses, much less, enough to justify redeeming my pawned music-gear. I'm in a very vulnerable position right now.. A position that any other shop would take every advantage of. Not these guys! These people have made it ABUNDANTLY evident to me that they value their customers' business and loyalty. While other pawnbrokers in the area have an affinity for instant-gratification, this group invests in the loyalty of it's clients. Sorry for having written a book, but I feel like it's the least I could do after their most recent display of kindness and grace! In closing, I truly do hope that some may find this review helpful and that it somehow benefits their business. With candor and sincerity, A very content and happy client

  Sam and his crew are great to deal with. I've bought a lot of tools from them. I've bought a Galaxy tablet for my son. He's very happy with it and it works amazing. I highly recommend Pawn Emporium.

  Worst pawn shop ever!!!!! They don’t greet you when you walk in, they act like they don’t wanna help you. The girl that works there has a very nasty attitude. They are un knowledgeable of how to rate prices.. please don’twaste ur time or money.

  I've known Sam for a long time really good guy really nice guy very professional with everybody who works for him is very professional or they wouldn't be working for him the top rated pawn shop in Harrisonburg Virginia 10 times better than the pawn shop up by Kroger same as you really really nice guy easy to get along with very professional I recommend is store overall he's extremely nice to me anytime I've ever went in there and dealt with him he's always been courteous and nice and respectful and that's what makes it good place for business cheers Sam

  I'm writing this review as I'm leaving this pawn shop.. I brought in a gold chain for pawn, I had gone to another pawn shop before coming here, the offer I got made at the other shop by sheetz was pathetic and insulting.. Pawn emporium gave me a great deal, employees were very nice and professional.. I don't usually leave reviews but this pawn shop deserves the review.. Before you pawn your items else where I strongly suggest you visit pawn emporium..

  Great prices and selection. They are very fair on prices. They will haggle and it seems that most prices have some wiggle room. This is always my first stop when I'm looking for something that doesn't need to be brand new.

  I took my ring in to have it fixed that was a enhairantes from my mother who is no longer worth us told me it wold be 2 weeks it's been ow most a month 3 days shy and seams that have lost my ring not only lost my ring but also kicked my husband out and off the property do to this problem but in all rights he has a reason to be mad what husbond wouldn't be mad over something like this if you like being respected and you won't more trust worthy ppl I'd advise you to go to jbs pown on rout 11 and talk to Sam and hes family and hes employees way more trust and respect from jbs I have lost all hope n trust n pown empoirem down town and watch out for the young short hair tall guy that seams to be some relation to the owner may even be hes son I'm told I don't k ow but he well tell you one thing then say he never said or did it and gets away with it and make you out to be a liar and still low balls you mine as well punch me n my jaw I'd like that more them being low balled and disrespected Sam is a good guy and so there are a couple other nice and fair guys n there but just watch your self going here if you like 30 to 40% less then you could get somewhere else then this is your place if you don't care to much but NOT A GOOD PLACE SOMTHING NEEDS TO BE DUNE ABOUT THIS PLACE AND THIS EMPLOYEE AND HES LIES AND PROBLEM THEY HE CALLS PPL

  It's a shame that suddenly PE is such a bad place. We've been more than fair with both of you until your husband openly used profanity in our store in front of children and on the phone, that's why he was banned. We still welcomed you in here. As far as your moms ring is concerned, we simply sent it off for an estimate and there were many more prongs that needed to be repaired other than the six that held the main stone. If you wanted it repaired right, than it would have costed more. We have no control over that. We have retrieved the ring from the jeweler which Randall can pick up at any time. Now that we have quit you both as customers we wish you the best.

  These guys will low ball you! Really, if u insist on using a pawn shop at least try the other 2 in town first. I was close by the 2nd time I gave them a try- and again offered me 30% less than JBS. How is that possible? I say use craiglist for ur quality stuff

  The gentlemen Sam at this business gives pawn emporium a bad name and atmosphere I have been going there for years and he is insulting and only uses people's difficult situations against them . Unfortunately what goes around comes around.

  It's too bad you feel that way Nicholas because of the tens of thousands of people I've interacted with in my 25 years in this business, I've never been left such a poor review. When you showed up here right before we closed we could have turned you down but we didn't. We stayed late to accommodate you, paid you fair and this is what we get...Have a wonderful life.
