  Absolutely TERRIBLE company to "try" and work with! It took nearly THREE MONTHS to have underwriting decline our loan based on ONE document (401k) terms of withdrawal! We have NEVER been declined a loan before! STAY WELL AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!! I believe many of the good (5 star) reviews are somehow related to the company or have been paid for.

  Great company to work with. Amazing customer service, great communication, and competent AEs give me confidence when working with Orion. I've had no issues with them and will continue to be with them. Highly recommend to anyone in the industry.

  I have been working with Orion on a file for almost 60 days. I believe Orion does not know what they are doing. If you are a broker beware you will be totally disappointed in every file. I have already lost one file and I’m about to lose the other file due to their incompetency. They have made me extend the lock on the borrow charging more. I believe this is their ploy to make more money on the borrower and pay less to the broker. They are a serious joke. Consider other wholesale lenders before you start a file with Orion. I believe what they are doing is against the law and I will report them to every regulatory agency!

  As a mortgage broker having a lender on our side is key to a quick and easy closing. Orion is definitely a lender that plays by these rules. Quick and easy.

  I love working with ORION lending, and especially have the pleasure working with the industry top AE Clark Knoblock, not just he is the most knowledgeable AE, he is a problem solver and an asset to his bank . Really love working with this bank and I definitely rate my experience with them for years on years as 5 stars !!!!

  DO NOT USE! They had the file for 65 days and still kept delaying the closing. All loan docs were in but said they were behind and kept delaying things. Orion kept saying tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow. Don't use this mortgage company. Ask a friend for recommendations, use anybody but these guys! When you call they just pass the phone on to the next guy. There are far better lender options!

  We just closed our first loan with Orion, and it was a great experience from beginning to end. Great technology interface - very simple and intuitive - and everyone who touched the file was extremely friendly, professional and responsive. We will be sending a lot more loans to Orion!

  A great experience closing a jumbo new construction mortgage with Orion Wholesale. The team in Orange, CA went out of their way to accommodate a timely underwriting approval, closing and funding.

  American Dream turned American Horror Story! Orion does not care that there are people and families on the other side of their transactions. They straight LIED several times, getting us to continue to beg the seller to extend our timeline. Seller was moving out of state and lost their potential home because of trying to work with us. After being told we were cleared to close, we gave notice on our apartment; 30 days later we had to move and still didn’t have docs to sign. We spent 10 days homeless with our stuff packed in a uhaul! Several times I pleaded with them to just let us know if they were actually going to give us a loan because I have a special needs daughter and significant health issues. They had no compassion at all. They actually complained to our agent that we called daily asking for status, and told us to stop calling. I have no idea what they get out of being so completely incompetent. After 60 days we lost out on the house, and had to get a rental. It’s hard to fathom the complete disregard for customer service. If your loan is then Orion Be AFRAID... Be VERY AFRAID! They don’t deserve a single star!!

  I would never work with this lender again! Their timelines were consistently late( Cd sent out 8 days after scheduled close of escrow) 5 days to review CD; 14 days to get loan docs out and 3 day prior to funding review! Finally funded on a Friday, too late to record, rolled into following Monday and cost buyers minimum $2100 late fee's. Total of 3 weeks late to close!
