Opened an account yesterday with Vanessa and couldn’t have had a better experience! She was polite, easy to talk to, and broke everything down for me if there was something I didn’t understand or had questions about. Definitely recommend Numerica if you’re looking to switch banks, absolutely recommend working with Vanessa if you need an educated banker to assist you!

      Response from the owner

Hi Sierra, this is so great to hear! We think Vanessa is pretty awesome, too. Welcome to the Numerica family!

The people at this branch are so helpful I've had nothing but good vibes and good service, might actually be moving this location to my main bank, they are extremely helpful and willing to go above and beyond. Alyssa DeGuire has been my FA and so far has been extremely helpful with just about everything I highly recommend her for financial purposes! I have not had any other experience from other advisers, but her service is excellent! Overall great banking branch, if your not happy with your bank, Numerica will make your experience 10x better trust me!

Absolute worst customer service and an absolute waste of time. I bought a vehicle from someone who had a loan through this bank. Paid for it and was told we were good to go and had all the proper paperwork. Goes to the dmv the next day, was told by the dmv they can’t do the transfer and that I basically just paid the loan and the person I bought it from could claim it and get the title in their name because they only gave me a bill of sale and a affidavit title. Apparently needed a affidavit loss of interest as well from the bank and to be signed in from of a notary. Go to the bank right after this and shortly before they close since I work during the day and was given the form but was then told since they have to kick me out at 5 for security reasons and couldn’t wait 5 min for the owner to get there and sign it we could just come back tomorrow and get it done, didn’t say I had to set an appointment. So come back day 3 of trying to get this vehicle purchased, get told once I’m there and have waited in line with the person I’m buying the vehicle from that lives on the opposite side of town that we would now need to set an appointment no sooner than an hour from now. Waste of time, came to this stupid place 3 times and the incompetency of everyone who works here is frustrating. I have never had to try 3 days in a row to complete a vehicle purchase. Normally can be done in 30 minutes. Wasted gas driving to this stupid bank 3 times and at least 3 hours. Dmv said numerica screws up on paperwork a lot. Will never bank with numerica and you shouldn’t either, you have better options

      Response from the owner

I only had interaction with Taytum. She is an angel! I wanted to refinance my car after being discharged from a bankruptcy (1.5 years ago) Because my rate was at 10.67%. Ouch... My uncle uses Taytum for his business, and he suggested I go there. I went there yesterday 10-8-19 feeling like I could get it refinanced, but figured it’d be at about a 9.5% or so. I’m still, according to many lenders a “risk”. So I sit down with Taytum and I tell her my desires and she has a little more hope than I do with my situation. She collects data then runs my credit.... VIOLA! 6.27%! At this point I’m thinking this is too good to be true... But it gets even better. We’re cruising through my credit report and I’m letting her know that most CC I have are from when I was still in my Chapter 13 bankruptcy. I’m talking 29.99% apr with 99$ annual fees and 13$ a month maintenance fees. So she tells me about a balance transfer card that Numerica offers and instantly I jumped on it. Still , feeling unworthy at this point she runs the credit app and to my surprise I was approved for a hefty limit. She’s done even more than all of this but I’m writing a book right now. So, I’m short I’d say that my experience in just these 24 hours with this credit union has sort of blown my mind. I can breath again!

      Response from the owner

Kenny!! We're beyond thrilled about your experience. Thank you for giving Numerica a chance to be able to help you out. Taytum is pretty awesome and we're excited you took the time to share. We can't wait to work with you on any of your future needs - sounds like you're on a great path already.

The experience was amazing. I was setting up an account with them and there costumer service is top notch and puts the costumer first in everything they do. The first thing that the girl said when I came in was want some water or coffee? It makes me feel good that there is still some comapanies that work there tail end off to make the costumer happy and satisfied.

Right from the get-go in November, the "business" teller couldn't open a business checking for me because my Tax ID number wasn't what she needed. I called both the IRS and the Dept of Rev right after to confirm the numbers that I had. Came back to her and she still wouldn't budge. Maybe talk to a manager and get help? Anyways, even though with unpleasant experience, the account was opened. Stopped by last week to send a wire over to my manufacturer, and had to deal with the same "business" teller. She kept dabbling on the computer for 2-3 minutes and then said, "Wait here, I have to talk to someone about something". Literally, that's was she said! Waited for another 3-5 minutes as she was chatting to a gentleman in the back. After she came back, she said, "I can't help you with the wire, the funds are too new on the account and there's a chance they would be recalled back. Sorry! Come back next week to do a wire". That was all I was left with. Now, I understand you must follow your policies/regulations/reg c, e, etc, but the way you would talk to the customer is not how any bank would want you to talk to their customers. Made me feel like I was a crook, trying to cheat the system or rob the bank. I didn't catch her name. She was blonde, shoulder-length curly hair, a little on the chubby side. I will stop by again after the holidays and see how things will go.

      Response from the owner

DECEPTIVE PRACTICES – Numerica Credit Union issued a vehicle loan with a life insurance policy for my mother and step dad. My step dad passed, and the loan agent (Trevor) that initiated loan with us a year and half ago assisted with filing the death certificate. Trevor later called the house and let us know he just learned that the policy would only cover 25% of the loan value because he was over 70. My step dad was over 70 when Trevor sold him the policy and did not explain that to him, I was there. Trevor very plainly explained multiple times that if either of them died that the loan would be paid in full. At my request his branch manager (John - U-City Branch) called me. He made excuses and kept repeating that he stood behind his employee and knew that he would have fully reviewed the policy with us. I felt that I was not getting any help in resolving the issue so I asked John for the name of his Boss. He literally laughed at me and told me he stands behind his employee. I feel like Trevor was deceptive in selling them an insurance product that did not offer the protections he promised, he did not go over the terms of the policy or he would have known before this afternoon that the policy did not provide full coverage at his age. At a minimum these are deceptive practices.

      Response from the owner

Hi Jonathan: Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We are very sorry to hear about your step dad’s passing, and can understand how this situation adds stress during such a difficult time. Our AVP of Retail Experience, Anthony Moore, will be reaching out to your mom today to discuss options for the account.

Transferred from a bank to Numerica CU, could not be happier with them, from beginning to end opening checking account. Able to earn money off my money! Standard banks better step their game up, no one wants to be charged for using their money. Also getting a auto loan through Numerica with sub-par credit they are getting me AMAZING rates, anybody debating about a transfer to NCU, stop wondering and make that switch

Always friendly and helpful every time. My grandson loves the kids game station there, and the cold water is a welcome treat when doing errands on a hot day. Great people!
