Douglas Trammell1I would rather be in the hospital again with kidney stones then to deal with the sales staff and experience at Nissan of Richmond in Short Pump. Literally while we are discussing monthly payments, final price and interest rates the salesman instructs us to tell to pull out our phones and rate him on google, literally right in front of him. Throughout the entire process they made it seem as though us being concerned about monthly payments or final sales price was nothing and that we were being ridiculous for being concerned about what our final price would be on a 20,000 vehicle. Bottom line, I will never ever buy a vehicle from this dealership ever again. I would advise you to go somewhere else.
Response from the ownerHi Douglas, we regret to hear that your experience with us was not a more positive one. We'd like the opportunity to discuss this with you. Please reach out to us at (804) 346-4200 at your earliest convenience to discuss how we can turn your experience into a positive one.

Suzie Greene1We went to view a car yesterday. We were told by sales associate that the advertised price would be at least $6k on top of online price [used car, $8995] Due to all service items, tyres etc. We left and called the Manager to clarify this info [as you can imagine, this is not something we have dealt with before]. Hung up on multiple times. They call me back and hang up when I answer. Clearly don't need our business which, we are happy to take elsewhere. But seriously, is this where we are at with a high profile dealership? NO THANKS. My cash [and we are cash buyers] will be going elsewhere.
Response from the ownerWe're very sorry to see that you didn't have the best experience with our dealership. While we're disappointed to learn that we didn't meet your expectations, we appreciate your feedback. Paula Quick Owner Loyalty Manager (804) 346-4200 Ext. 1000

Amanda Ball5I just purchased my 2019 Nissan Armada today. I went to Nissan of Richmond and encountered a very rude salesman by the name of Daniel. I literally left after my test drive and vowed that I would not return. Thankfully, I changed my mind and went back the very next day. I was greeted and assisted by a VERY FRIENDLY, VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE young man by the name of GRANT. Grant saved the day!!! He worked hard to get me a reasonable deal and I drove off with my dream car. Perfectly suitable for myself and my three children. Thank you again Grant!! Job well done!
Response from the ownerHello Amanda, We apologize for the bumpy start and you were originally unsatisfied with your visit but grateful that you gave Grant the opportunity to work with you to rectify the situation. Thank you for choosing Nissan of Richmond, and we hope to see you again in the future. Paula Quick Owner Loyalty Manager

Keyrim Jung1A complete lack of integrity and moral business practices. On Friday I called to schedule an appointment to see one of their used cars today. I noticed this morning that the vehicle was no longer on their website. I called at 8am and spoke with Don Johnson. I asked if they still had it and he assured me they did. A little later in the morning I received a call from a Christopher Lawson who wanted to reconfirm my appointment today. To double check I asked him as well if they had the car and he said they did. So I went in this afternoon for my appointment. The salesman then tells me that the vehicle had sold yesterday. He then tried to sell me a different car and then a new Nissan instead. I immediately left as to not have my time wasted any further. I live far from this dealership and they intentionally lied in order to get me to come in. From other reviews I can tell this is not a rare occurrence. Many other people seem to have run into this issue, seems like this is normal operating procedure for them. Look at Yelp. They have a whopping 1.5 stars. Also, after telling me the car sold yesterday, the salesman tells me it sold for 21k. The car was listed at 15.5k. Almost 6k worth of bogus fees and ridiculous charges. Again, check the real reviews, hundreds of people have run into the exact same thing. Avoid this place at all costs.

dml Ludwig1I saw a car that was advertised on autotrader.com for this dealership for approx 19,900. I called to set up an appointment to test drive the car. When I get to my appointment they don’t have the car outside ready for me instead the Manager and the sales person take me back to a cubicle I sit down and they begin to inform me that the car will actually be thousands of dollars more than what the prices on auto trader. They wanted to talk about what I could financially afford so that they could show me other cars that they had available . They have course had excuses like it used to be a rental and we had to pay more to have it cleaned. Then I remembered wow this happened to me before at this same dealership a couple years ago when I had looked at a car and they had told me it was gonna be thousands more than what was listed on autotrader.com because it was a certified Nissan car. So here’s a heads up if you see a price for this dealership listed anywhere on the web and it looks really like a great price just know that that’s not their actual price. I see some other reviews like this from others as well. I think it may be time for channel 12 on your side to come out and act like they’re buying a car that’s advertised at great price and let them do a new story on this dealership. I am 50 in all my years of test driving and buying cars I’ve always been able to set up an appointment and the car was ready for me to test drive. Additionally I’ve never had another car lot or car dealership tell me the price was off by thousands of dollars they’ve always said we have a dealership be in this price also doesn’t include sales and tax which is understandable but not the dealership saying this price is thousands of dollars off. For this particular car was advertised at 19,900 and they said it would be mid 20s to high 20s would be the out of the door price.

Kesheira G5Had the pleasure of working with Dalia today that provided outstanding service from beginning to end. Truly a gem. Very knowledgeable and detail focused. It’s rare to find sales associates that really have the best interest for the client but this was very clear immediately. There were some curve balls today but Dalia’s people skills was enough to outweigh them all. She deserves a raise and would be an awesome trainer to pass on her skills to others. Excited about the purchase! Thank you Dalia for going above and beyond.
Response from the ownerHello Kesheira, Thank you so much for your kind words and the 5-STAR review. We really appreciate you taking the time out to share your experience with us. Jonathan Senna1My sister and her husband visited the dealership last Sunday, 5/2 to purchase a new Nissan Pathfinder. The experience was miserable for them from the time they entered the doors of the store. They were not greeted by anyone. The person who they had spoken to on the phone the night before told them to come in and ask for him. He turned out to not even be a salesperson. They were passed on to a brand new salesperson after another one very rudely turned down helping them. Instead of showing them a vehicle and letting them test drive, they went straight to numbers and trade valuation. On the subject of the trade, they grossly undervalued it and were rude to my brother-in-law when he let them know that he had done his research and knew the value of his vehicle. My brother-in-law also said that the sales person was on the phone with a manager or someone who could be audibly heard cursing and saying things about their trade and the value of it. One of the finance officers Came up to their desk at one point and started interrogating them about their trade and what they were expecting to pay monthly on their new car. He made my sister and brother-in-law feel like they were ridiculous. He also chastised the young salesman for not showing them the car and letting them test drive. My brother-in-law had to haggle with them to get them to come up on the trade value. The communication in this place is absolutely abysmal. Once they got back to finance, they got another finance officer who my brother-in-law said was actually the nicest person they dealt with. However, after telling them that he was going to get them a low interest rate through Nissan finance, the finance officer came back and said Nissan finance was closed on Sundays and he was going to have to finance through another company and the rate was going to be higher. The only good thing out of this experience seems to be that my sister and her family got a new Pathfinder. They paid more than they should have and were treated extremely poorly by the dealership. The whole experience took 5 1/2 hours! I work in car sales and I know that everything my brother-in-law told me is completely unprofessional and not how it should be done. I would not recommend anybody to this dealership and I feel really bad that my sister and her family went through this. I know the car dealerships really rely on good surveys to come back. And I also know that the surveys reflect usually on the sales person. I wouldn’t want that new sales person to get a bad survey, but this dealership is horrible and I highly recommend you look elsewhere for buying your next vehicle. I will be telling everyone I know when I have the chance to not shop at Nissan of Richmond.
