  We have multiple accounts at Newfirst, the people are absolutely amazing. I always feel like they value our business. Great location and easy to get to. My Munkie (dog) loves going to the bank because she always gets a treat.

  I have been banking with New First National Bank since I got to Texas two years ago. They offered free checking, which was great, and I have been using it since. Today I got a feeling to go check on my account there. I had deposited $640 in there so I can write my rent check. There was $635 and some change in my account. I don't use the account for any other purposes except to pay my bills that need checks. I asked the banker why? She said the free checking is no longer available, and if you have less than $600 in your account, they will charge you money. She said that "We sent everybody a notification in the mail" but I have yet to see one. I don't like that they decided to change their policies without my knowing or consent. I signed up for a free checking account, how can they change what I signed up for without me knowing? This is a bad bank.. Don't trust them with your money, they will take from you without you knowing. I closed out my account there and will never go back. I will warn against others starting an account with them as well..
