Victoria Cole1Opened a savings account in 2019. Was told I needed to deposit $5 dollars to open. Shortly after covid hit. Didn't use this account but received a letter or email about it now then. Received an email last month that stated would need to deposit at least $50 to avoid a quarterly fee. No problem. Went in to do this and was told they closed it 6-9 months after opening. WTH??? Why on earth would they have sent letters and emails about the account for the last 3 years??? According to the teller its just what they do. Is this credit union officially nuts??? Of course, NONE of this was stated when opening the account. They wouldn't even return my $5 deposit from 2019 claiming it was a membership fee. Wasn't labeled as that back in 2019. Pathetic company. Always a joy to deal with an entity where the right hand has absolutely no clue what the left hand is doing, and criteria involving accounts are not provided at time of opening. What kind of people are you hiring?? Pretty clear to see why there is such a monumental amount of negative reviews.

Baylee Freeman1I wish there were zero stars. Worst customer service ever. No one knows anything that is going on. Want to buy a home? GOOD LUCK. You'll be in underwriting forever. You cant ever get ahold of anyone. They take their sweet time. We are supposed to close on our house today and already had an extension that they said they can meet for closing. We are sitting ducks and probably going to lose our house because of this STUPID BANK. Never ever will recommend this "credit union". You'd think that for someone who only deals with veterans and active armed forces that they would have some respect for their clients...

Sheila Perreault1Personal banking has been great, but this review is for their business side. There is not a local phone number to get an actual local person. Call reps are not educated on business memberships. Business reps are only available Mon - Fri 9am - 5pm EASTERN time. Call backs don't happen. Small business support is zero. NFCU was good when our business was just a few employees, but we have grown they do not provide the support we need.

M Jennings1Greeter guy, Keevy. Terrible. He said, "We can't accept your request without your photo ID"... He didn't listen to me carefully. He didn't even check the documents that I had with me. I tried to explain to him slowly, but he just kept talking talking like a broken radio and didn't give me any opportunity to explain to him. Very impolite. I went to another branch and the banker helped me out my request right away. Keevy, you need lots of training. You were COMPLETELY WRONG.

Brigitte Sager1Incredibly slow beauracratically bogged down policies. Wasted most of an entire day there. Have done similar transactions at KFCU in under 15 minutes and no drama. I left confused how it possibly took two visits and so many hours to open a basic savings account. It's as if they have not moved past policies from the year 2000 that no longer make any sense. Definitely an example of "we've always done it this way.". Employees were friendly and that was my only positive part of the experience.

Christopher Hart1I’ve been a customer for three and a half years and have a checking, savings, car loan, and credit cards with navy federal. Today I attempted to go into the branch and apply for a mortgage. I was told no despite there being 1:30 hours left in the business day; instead of politely giving me a answer to my reasonable question, I was rudely told that we are not going to have all our free representatives work on mortgages despite that being in their job description. This branch is terrible and their customer service is terrible. I’m at Bank of America now to apply for the mortgage where they make time for customers

Remblie Kain3Very busy place and helpful staff who really go the extra mile to help out. I usually go to one closer to home. And only hit this one up because I was in the area the inside is clean and very upscale. Edit second and third visits were a night mare the staff are very helpful but have no idea what they are doing beyond the basic banking things.

Who Cared1I had to wait 2 and a half hours to sign a peace of paper. At my local chase bank I would not have to wait 5 minutes. Clams to be military friendly but I don't feel it at all. I would recommend going to wells Fargo or chase
