Mr. Cooper Reviews

Unnito Cases1My loan was transferred here. For some reason my escrow payment increased which I understand, what I dont understand is why Mr cooper failed to contact me about late payments. I was paying the payment but was under paying by a few dollars and now my credit took a major hit. I paid my payments for 8 years no problems. Been hangin with mr cooper for less than a year and now my credit needs repair. Seeking new loan company but doubt ill get a good rate thanks to my credit hit. 0 stars...

Nicole Jarratt1I had the absolute worst experience I have ever had with a company (not just mortgage company) in my life. We have had a loan with Nationstar/Mr. Cooper for over 10 years, so when I went to purchase my next home I thought the best place to start would be Mr. Cooper. I was wrong. They pre-approved us, and then conditionally approved us pending verification of our income. Despite being approved, they didn't request our tax transcripts from the IRS to verify our income in time to close on the date our contract was supposed to close and had to request additional time. And they never sent a lender's order to the title company to set the closing. After a week and a half of limited communication on their part I found out that our main contact had left the company (by me calling his manager, not because they notified me). My secondary contact, Sylvia Duran Herrera, the loan processor, was even worse with communication. She responded to about 1 in 5 of my emails, was rude each time and never returned my calls. After working with them for 6 miserable weeks, we were forced to start the process over with a new lender. Fortunately that process with the new lender has been nothing but smooth sailing. In summary, I would say work with Mr. Cooper at your own risk. And if my advice means anything, I'd say run the other direction as fast as you can.

jesus munoz1I gave Mr. Cooper an opportunity to process my new loan. I regret choosing them as my lender. Mr. Cooper is one of the worst companies to do business with. We were ready to close escrow and my lender kept pushing the dates without notifying my agent or Escrow. Since Mr. Cooper as my lender failed to notify them to request an extension, Consequently the listing agent was forced to put the property back on the market and I lost all my money. The staff and management from the Santa Ana California location are very incompetent and lack communication among them. They had me paid for the appraisal and inspection upfront and I lost that money too. Beware....of Mr. Cooper..and All the staff. To bad that there’s no Zero as a review.

Charlotte Laws1This is the worst bank I have ever dealt with. They cannot and I repeat cannot get the statements right. It has been years and their only job is to service my loan. But every month the statement is WRONG. I have to call them, or go on their website to verify that my numbers are correct. The reason for this? I like to pay several months ahead and their system cannot understand this. Every other bank - and I have mortgages at other banks - gets this right. Do not do business with Mr. Cooper. My advice.

Arlene P1If borrower has an impound account to pay taxes and insurance, how could the lender add and charge a forced place insurance? So, who’s supposed to be paying for my insurance renewal, Mr Cooper, right? Isn’t this what the impound account is for? To make sure taxes and insurance are paid on time! Jokers, aren’t they? I can’t wait to get my mortgage somewhere else! It wasn’t my choice to have my loan serviced by this lender on the first place, was transferred only a year ago and already having this unbelievable “does not make any sense” issue!!

Mary Williams1Run run as fast as you can away from this place- Bryant Huyant and Brittany Bolton are liars and scammers- completely unprofessional- Mr. Cooper bought my loan from Pacific Financial-when I tried to refi a va loan they kept making excuses - kept extending loan rate- they get paid to keep you - I went with Quicken loan and it closed within 30 days- ! Not certain how this place is still open- going to file a complaint with Federal Trade Commission-RESPA- both their licenses should be revoked.

RAHR Jiyanin1This company is extremely unprofessional. They have changed my interest rates on my investment property without my permission. They also decided to charge me inspection fees when I have not made a single payment late. They are committing fraud, but my attorney will have to teach them a lesson.

Becky Kuchenski1Very difficult company to do business with. Tried to pay off loan and they made it so difficult. Takes at least 10 minutes to even talk to a representative. They charged us for pay off instructions that gave us 1 bank day to complete. My banker had trouble getting the routing number to work and I have the same bank as the loan company! Unbelievable. I’ll never do business with them again.
