  Mountain America Credit Union is very close to my home and has many locations for the customer's convenience. This branch always has been very friendly and professional. They also offer convenient financial advisors not employed by the credit union, but are available within the building. This is a very nice service that we also have employed.

  I have been a customer of MACU since 2008, and today, I will be closing all my accounts with them. My personal, retirement, insurances, and business accounts. I want to make it clear, this in not just a review of the local branches here in Southern Utah, this is a review for the entire customer service that I have been encountering as of recently. Yesterday (Oct. 15, 2021) I was going to use my Platinum Visa I have with MACU to pay for a vehicle repair and was declined even though my card is at a $0 balance, and I have more than enough credit limit on it. I called the 1-800 number on the back of the card and was placed on a 20 minute queue. The repair shop was closing soon, so I had to leave. After approximately 40 minutes of wait time, I opt to receive a call back; which I never received. I call first thing in the morning again. I got a hold of someone within 5 minutes. This individual was rude, and not helpful at all, she transferred me to the fraud department as she claimed she could not help me. The fraud department said they could not help me because the people at the 1-800 number on the card did not create a case for them to pull up and thus had me call again. Not transfer, call again and get on the call in queue yet again. The fraud department said they could not transfer from their department to another, but somehow customer service can? Makes no sense, but I called yet again. I get ahold of another customer service person after waiting on the call in queue yet again. She cannot help and simply took down my information to have some "Card Specialist" call me later. "So what now,?" I asked her, I need to pay for my vehicle repair and my card is not working. She says, "go into the local branch in your city to see if they can help you" she says. I go into my local branch... They pretty much have the same excuse. "We don't know what is going on with your card, it is the repair shop's fault your card is not working." So I go into the Repair shop and asked them to try and charge my card once more, it gets declined. So I had an idea, I will will use another card, from MACU, also a VISA, but at a much higher interest rate, about 2.5 times higher and guess what? It worked. I of course go back into the local branch and ask them to please explain why one of their cards works, yet the other does not. They have yet again, no answers for me. They have the audacity to ask me if I want to take advantage of a "Higher earning interest Savings" account as I have a large sum of money in my savings account. Are you kidding me? I am done with MACU you as of today. So, what can I believe now? that MACU doesn't want me to use my super low interest rate card on a costly repair? They want to make more money off of me with my doubled the interest Card, also a MACU card? That is what it looks like to me. This is not my first and only frustration with MACU, I have had numerous headaches cause of their lack of customer support that I have had to resort to other banking solutions, or lenders in the past for both my personal and business banking needs. I hope this review sheds some light on those looking for a their banking needs.

  Jeremy Jocelyn was awesome! He helped me and my husband refinance our car loan. He answered all our questions, being patient with us and very knowledgeable! Will recommend him to our friends and family members! Very happy with Mountain America!

  Very Professional! I had met with Jeremy Jocelyn to help me open my business account. He was very insightful and helped answer all my questions. I have banked with other national banks but by far feel like Mountain America Credit Union has delivered the best. Thanks again for your help today!

  I wanted to switch to a credit union and I could have not picked a better one. From all the nice ladies and getting us to speak with someone one so fast and easy! Melissa was our FSR that we worked with! She was absolutely amazing from giving us all our options to reach some of our financial goals, to helping us understand everything we needed to know! I will be recommending this branch to everyone I know!

  We recently moved to the area from Nevada and needed a new financial institution. We found Mountain America to meet all our needs. Very friendly staff, comfortable surroundings and helpful in many ways.

  I stopped by this branch while taking the road trip. This is a great bank that actually shows appreciation for its customers. They have an awesome coin machine that does NOT charge a fee. The staff were very helpful, extremely knowledgeable, attentive and and super friendly.

  Wonderful people and easy to deal with. Shelbee was amazing in all the things I needed to get done. She should either be the boss or get a giant raise. You don’t see people that are kind and good and happy in their jobs these days. Clearly MACU takes good care of there people
