  Had zero issues with this bank up until the past month. They never sent out my new debit card when I called about it two months before expiration, called again and they did send one after it had expired, never received it because they sent it to the wrong address after they updated it. Had to call again yesterday and the woman on the phone was extremely rude and went on to insult my current state and town for being “small” and “having nothing to do” which sounds strange coming from a company based out of Utah. Will be looking into other banks to fall back on if this is the direction they’re going which is a real shame.

  The credit union needs to change there policies on their phone system and the folks at their call center are not trained well. As a former business owner and a service connect retired veteran, this is a quick way to lose customers as it is very tedious to contact the branch. I have several loans and accounts with them, and may switch to another credit union if this issue is not addressed. Mike M

  I closed my account with MACU. My rent check was returned as non-sufficient funds instead of closed account. As a result I was charged a fee by my apartment management & they will no longer accept checks from me. I stopped in at MACU yesterday to point out the error and they said non-sufficient and closed account were the same. Huge difference but three of the employees disagreed with me. Do you think non sufficient funds and closed account are the same?

  I’ve had only positive experiences with MACU, including especially good auto rates, but want to give special praise to Arielle from the Eagle Branch. I came in with a unique situation from attempting to do an online transfer from another institution to payoff an auto loan at MACU. Despite being new enough not to have her own cards and getting less that complete info from help line, she persevered, asked the right questions, identified the best solution, completed my request quickly, acknowledged other clients as they arrived, and even provided me details on another product. I’m a retired banker, so I know a good one when I see one, so ask for Arielle in Eagle.

  Seriously some of the nicest staff I’ve ever had the pleasure of doing business with...Ryan is my go to guy for all things banking...when I bought my new car he hand delivered the check to the dealership—Now that’s freaking customer service taken to an entire new level. I am always so impressed at the professionalism of the staff at MACU...I moved to the north end and have used the local branch here and they are equally as amazing. Today I had the pleasure of working with Kaylee since Ryan was tied up and she was so accommodating and helped me address an unfortunate situation on my account. So pleased to continue doing my banking here...I couldn’t imagine banking anywhere else... even if I moved away...

  Great experiences at this branch since we moved from East Boise, to West Boise back in 2016. The bankers, tellers, and employees are all very friendly and helpful. Everyone does their best to either better your financial situation, ensure you are taking advantage of the best products they have to offer, and answer any and all questions you may have. My favorite part is that they are patient. I recently took my sweet time to switch lenders from ICCU to MACU for my auto loan and Ryan was extremely patient and helpful throughout the entire process.

  We have utilized Mountain America for a variety of needs (mortgages, HELOC, car loans, checking account) and have ALWAYS received EXCELLENT service. Entire staff (especially Mortgage Specialist, Jared Polumbo) are always very responsive to our questions. Everyone is friendly, knowledgable and highly efficient. So glad we bank with MACU!

  I have been a member of this credit union for over 30 years. I have always found the tellers to be friendly, courteous, and helpful. I have never had a problem with any of my accounts. My statements have always been accurate. I would recommend this credit union to anyone who appreciates the services available. I think it beats going to a bank.
