In this competitive market, my buyers are almost always competing against multiple offers and against very strong candidates.   Darren was a pleasure to work with. My fiance and I were doing very preliminary research and didn't yet know anything about buying our first home so we made a quick appointment and stopped in Darren's office with expectations of walking out disappointed. Little did we know that we would be living in our dream home less than 2 months later. The process was unexpectedly easy and fluid.   Darren has been working with my husband and me to refinance our home so we can lower our mortgage. He gave us great advice, which we're following, and he's been patient while we've been working on all the steps. He knows the mortgage business, and takes care to help those of us who glaze over when we talk about finances. His specialty is first-time buyers, but he works hard to help everyone who contacts him.   Darren was our loan officer. He made the process very easy. His attention to detail made our loan go through without a glitch. Darren and his staff were always available when I had any questions and worked well within our (my wife and I) schedule. Darren spoke with the sellers agent and because of that call...they chose to accept our bid. If there were more than 5 stars possible, I would giv'em to Darren. He is a mortgage Rock Star!

  I am a first-time home buyer. Darren made the mortgage lending process and breeze. He was always very calm and knowledgeable and was able to work with me throughout the process to find a mortgage that fit my needs.   As first time home buyers, we were lucky to work with a professional like Darren. As new comers to Portland, we knew little about the whole home buying process. Initially, we started working with another lender, which left us feeling frustrated about the whole process due to lack of informative communication. In our first meeting with Darren, he took the time to explain us the whole process in detail, answering every single question we had. He was always very responsive and he was always there to answer any questions we had (even when he was on vacation). He informed us immediately about any unexpected changes, and he diligently worked to make our home buying dream come true. We highly recommend Darren.

  Let me start out by saying my wife and I bought our house 2 ½ years ago, and I’m finally getting around to writing this review. Better late than never. Our experience with Darren and Samantha was absolutely amazing. My wife and I started looking for our first home before we got pre approved, even though I knew it was a bad idea… and sure enough it was. We started looking at homes in the $250,000 range and found out from Darren we were only approved for $180,000. We we're devastated to say the least. We left thinking we'd never find a home that we really loved in that price range and in an area we wanted to live. Darren emailed me the very next day giving me options on how we could raise our approval. We did exactly what he recommended and because of him, not more than 3 weeks later we found and bought our first house that we absolutely love!! Darren was so incredibly helpful and patient throughout the entire process. He's just an incredibly nice and very professional guy. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone!
