Austin Thomas1Sneaky. Financed my Dodge Ram through them, made every payment/never missed or paid late. Called them in February regarding interest rates/account information (knowing my vehicle would be paid off in October). The representative told me, “everything looked great!” and it would be senseless to lower your interest rate due to paying primarily principle until the last payment in October. I was ok with that, but wanted a definitive answer when my vehicle would be paid off. She assured me that “yes, October your vehicle would be paid off”. Fast forward to September (now), I receive a statement saying I have a +$1,200 balance. I call them back to address the matter and they tell me I have 3 more payments left (which would take me into December). They give me a shoulder shrugging answer, that the past rep. was wrong and it is what it is. So I’ll apparently be donating just under a grand to this company. Wish everyone the best! God bless!

Michael Florentine407/27/20 - Darlene C was our customer support representitive. She was super nice and considerate through our inheritance process. We were surprised when she stood in line behind other waiting customers to cash the check for us. If we were inheriting more than maybe $500, we would have to fill out an (notorized) fudiciary form of allowment (to allow new ownership of property of the deceased). Their Savings & CD rates are fair @ %1.45 in 60 month max. Nationwide, I've seen them as high as %3.50 for 48 months & as bad as %0.17 for one-month *cough*BankOfAmericaSucks*cough*
Response from the ownerThanks for the positive review Michael! We've passed along your feedback to Darlene and look forward to serving you again in the near future.

Jay B1I've written a review before but funny it isn't here now. I closed my account like a year ago because I signed up for membership, tried cancelling and they had no way to (not an uncommon scam) I called the bank describing everything about the payment/merchant. They had me come in and explain and I left with knowlege that everything was handled. I didn't use the accont much but checked one day to a $60 overdraft, the charge never even successfully went through because insufficient funds. They told me to come in. The manager wouldn't wave it, claiming I gave them the permission to charge me even though all I did to dispute and stop it. I paid it and closed my account.

Grace Anderle3Friendly staff, clean enviornment, and quick lines! However being charged a $7.00 overdraft protection fee- even if it's only by a few pennies ($0.06 to be exact and from experience)- is absolutely NOT worth having a checking account here.

Marion O'Neil1Needed my legal name changed on my account. Had valid passport, birth certificate and document from social security showing the correct name but was turned away by a rude woman in member services because the change had not yet been made in my drivers license. Seems silly to refuse that change when I had so much documentation including legal papers from the court stating the name has been returned. Makes me wonder how they would help someone without a drivers license, and why my passport was not acceptable. This is exactly why I am opting to close my accounts at MECU - too much red tape and silly policies that waste members time.

Tom Barr4It was there today, 9/23/15, with no for sale sign. They are very nice but the savings interest rates stink, just like most banks. I believe they are open to anyone who qualifies, including those in education. They also service mortgages and car loans.

K. W. G4Seems like a good place to have an account. Also an ATM Available in the drive thru.

Hassan Abdullah2Banker was very dry and unwelcoming, she didn't say a word during the opening process.
