This collector; as far as collectors go, is the worst! They use somewhat illegal tactics. They call you multiple times per day, per law they're allowed to try once per day. They will call your work, even when you say you cannot get calls there. When you asked for an itemized statement, they tell you they've already provided one... even though by law if you request it, they have to legally provide it to you. And Mr. Kelly, who was totally rude told me "I don't need to be versed in the law". Wrong words dude. You mean you don't need to be lectured or coached in the credit protection laws? Obviously you do! And you do need to be "versed in them", because you're stepping over the bounds of those laws, and people could easily file legal complaints against you and the company. Also, multiple people calling, they all tell you they're handling your file, they're obviously working off collections for the amounts they collect. The call before last came from a number from; get this, Germany! Not their 425 number. These people are cut rate, low budget, scammers.

Horrible horrible horrible company! It’s just wrong how they treat people! What goes around comes around. Karma will get them because how they treat people is very wrong. I had an old medical bill that I have already paid through them from more than 2 years ago! Well, two months ago, they contacted me about it saying it’s not paid. I have no way of proving a bill I paid years ago. So, I was about to pay it in a few weeks after some part-time work and what happens? A man shows up at our door saying I’m being sued for not paying that bill. 🤔 WTH?! I spoke to someone “miss Betner” and asked why I wasn’t informed that I would be sued if not paid and have to go to court and she said, “We aren’t obligated to give you notice about that!” I told them they should be ashamed of themselves and it’s so shady and under-handed! I felt like crying, but I’m not going to give these horrible people the satisfaction. I now have to pay over double of what the original so-called bill is!

If you don't set up a payment plan right away they will screw you over. Every 4 months they get a new court ordered garnishment and charge attorney fees and court costs. And they start adding a 13% interest rate the day they get the account. They then garnish for 60 days and the process starts all over again sending it back to the courts for another order of garnishment. More then half of the 60 days what they garnish from you just goes to court costs, attorney fees and interest. I've been dealing with them for a year now and my outstanding balance is higher then when I started. They try to keep you locked into the debt so they can make more money off you.

This company ran us around last summer for weeks about a hospital bill we didn't even know we owed. They then told me we wouldn't have to pay it once I provided them with tons of evidence that we couldn't afford it due to financial crisis at our business. Then, two days ago, they tricked my partner into giving them his credit card info over the phone. Am fighting them with all I'm worth. Scum bags.

This company does not send out bills or statements and because of their clerical error (transposd the numbers of my phone #), they were unable to reach me. And they never tried again. I have an address people! Zero communication regarding a simple fix, $100 outstanding 2 year old bill, condescending and sarcastic assistance, 100 point dip to my credit. Boo, hiss to the lot of them.

These people call and start yelling with absolute no idea what they are talking about and berate random people they talk to on the phone. Absolutely unacceptable.

I have no outstanding debt and these people are "debt collectors". This is scam for anyone so stupid enough to pay these people.

Very rude I don't owe them money called for another reason but they still speak to me like I'm a second rate person. I'm sure this lady is much less financially fortunate than I am so not sure where she is coming from and should know that you should never underestimate who you are talking to on the phone. She could be blowing a HUGE account for her company and never know it or her boss doing quality control

I hope no ever has to deal with this company, they will belittle you over the phone as you ask simple questions and are rude, I paid my account over a year ago, and it has been cleared and they still pop up on my credit after I disputed it, the worst thing to ever happen to your credit is merchants credit, this company should be shut down, stay away, all they want is money and will not help you, they give you attitude when they take your money, I paid over 5k and my debt is cleared, and I'm still dealing with these con artists. 0 stars, would have rather paid a lawyer than pays these guys. No exaggeration!

they are terrible to deal with. I called them after the hospital told me they recently sent my bill to them, I had not been contacted by them yet or received any mailed statements or anything. I tried to tell him how much was in my budget to pay each month(bill was $4500) the guy was a jerk, he told me how much I WAS GOING TO PAY, he has no idea what my income or bills or other commitments are, but he started raising his voice when I told him what my budget was. You can deal directly with the hospital or service provider and place a complaint with them about this collector. You can pay your bill directly to the hospital and the hospital will forward the payment to them, you may still have to pay Merchants credit fees, but at least they are easier to deal with.
