Veronica Hodges1I rated with a 1 3 months ago when i got a check and there was a 5 day hold now im back with a second check today with a 10 day hold. Checks were for the same amount. This gets old real quick.. ridiculous!! Nothing is consistent. So frustrating especially when you have things you need to pay and you have money but its not actually yours for 10 days 😡😡😡😡😡

Nathan Wagner1Refused to deposit a cashiers check without a 10 day hold from another local bank. I am a customer with the funds in my account to cover the check, and bi weekly deposits that would cover the check. I had to carry a large amount of cash from one institution to the other and had to pay a fee at the other bank to cash the check there since I don’t bank with them. The manger of the branch threatened me and also threatened to not take the deposit. When contacting corporate they said the manager was in the wrong and that her marketing manager would contact me but they have not. I am seriously considering pulling my accounts if this employee is not reprimanded. I had all my paperwork together to go in to open an equity line today but have not now due to this incident. Do yourself a favor and bank somewhere else. This branch does not know what they are doing or does not care. As someone who worked in banking she could have called to verify funds, or taken the time time look at my account balances. If someone for corporate takes the time to read this which I doubt you should train your employees better.

Ken Davison1Very disgusted with the service I received at the Member One location in Rocky Mount. I was talking to one of the bankers, they asked what I do for a living. I said I’m a Spanish interpreter. They asked me a question about the language that I couldn’t answer. They asked why I couldn’t answer the question, & then implied I’m a liar. They said “Do you really interpret Spanish?” They also called me by pet names like “buddy”.

Marcus Willis2Not pleased with the service I received at the Rocky Mount Member One. Very rude service. I came in with my grandpa to ask about a new account. I was treated immediately as if my grandpa was financially supporting me.. they would not look at me, instead only looked at my grandpa & ignored 2 questions I had. This was due to my young appearance. The teller even made a reference to my young appearance to my grandpa.. she said "I hope he can finally leave the nest soon". Little does she know I left the nest 7 years ago & I own my own business. I'm very unhappy with this experience & will not bank with Member One due to this.

Laura Gosnell5I just moved in from out-of-state, got my first paycheck from my new job, it was a handwritten paycheck. They allowed me to deposit it and get cash back from it without a hold on it. I'm an OTR (over-the-road) truck driver and that was very important to have travel money! A card on the and way I had cash in my hand to continue without missing a beat! Thanks y'all!

courts dad2I used to be satisfied with this credit union, as i have gotten several car loans, and a personal loan from them. I currently have a active car loan. I also had another account that had $750 in it which i just let sit for a rainy day, and in anticipation of using to put my wife's check in when we are able to live off my check only later this year. I opened the statement that i regularly get and they had taken $30 for a dormant fee. To me this is very ridiculous since they encourage you to open saving account. And that is all i was doing was saving it, they had use of my money, but now they just want to take it. No, No, NO, i will come and get the rest of my money today, pay off my car in a few months and be done. Not a good way to do business.

Richard Smith1I own several successful businesses. I could not imagine having someone like AMANDA work for me. No greeting, rude, ignorant, had to get a supervisor because she did not know how to simply print off something... I could hear her making smart comments about me to her co-workers, etc. and she did not say anything back to me, just sent back the papers and not a single word. It is clearly shown that she was not raised with manners and that is fine but if you work in the public you need to learn some and have respect. Absolutely the worst service I have ever had at a bank. I could write a lot more but it is not worth my time.

Debbie Price1I went inside this bank about 10 days ago to get a roll of quarters. I was asked if I had an account with them - which I do not - and was told that they were not allowed to make any cash transactions with me if I wasn't an account holder with Member One. I went further down the road to another bank, Carter Bank & Trust, and was able to get a roll of quarters without being asked if I held an account with them. It's a sad day when you can't go into any bank to exchange funds without having to have an account with said bank. One thing is for sure, I will never consider or recommend doing business with Member One or any bank that has these types of restrictions and/or requirements.
