      Unfortunately, after 10 years of being a loyal customer, buying Auto insurance for my wife and I as well as our two oldest children, home owners insurance and millions of dollars in life insurance policies, Bob and his team along with Erie Insurance are trying to squeeze thousands of dollars out of us now that we have moved to a state they cannot service. In short, they are after me to pay for insurance for 2017 for our 17-year old who did not own a car or drive one until July, 2018. I now have a collection agency after me and had to file an official claim with the Maryland Insurance Admin to get them to stand down. Customer service is everything, especially when dealing with various insurances. To try and take more money from me after 10 years as a customer because I had a licensed driver in my household in 2017, is unprofessional, and morally reprehensible. The language in Erie's contract says "please" notify your agent if you have a member of your household that obtains a license (which I did) - it does not state you must add them to the policy and in fact neither state nor federal law requires insurance for a person with a license. (only if they drive). I cannot understand what drives people to take such petty action... because I moved to a state you couldn't service...?
