  I purchased an under construction home from Kurt Mathison and the whole process, since before signing the sale contract until after closing, was flawless! The construction manager, Bobby Bridges, was also stellar in identifying any issues before closing (just a few BTW) and correcting them pronto. Kurt provided weekly videos from the construction site detailing the steps along the way. I highly recommend Kurt and Mattamy if you are looking for a new home.

  My wife and I purchased a town house at this location. We were very happy with the sales representative Kurt Mathison and John (the builder). They were very professional and kept us involved and well informed throughout the entire process. We love the house and so far are very happy with entire process.

  I would NOT recommend buying here. It is UNSAFE!!!!! People do drugs in the common amenities. People have been attacked. There are many trespassers. The HOA does nothing when these concerns are brought to their attention saying that the gates remain open during construction which could be years!!!!!! They are not even trying-no security guard, nothing! This is not a suitable place for families. They will wine and dine you during the buying process but once you live here is Jekyell and Hyde!!

  Kurt Mathison and Colin Sumner with Mattamy Homes in Parkview at Long Lake Ranch knocked it out of the park with my new construction client. As a realtor, I have worked with numerous builders through the new construction process, but never have I been kept abreast of the progress by weekly videos from Kurt. Their communication was top notch and Colin built an amazing single family home for my buyer. I can't wait to work with you both again and would highly recommend Mattamy Homes when scouting new builds in the area.

  I signed a contract with Mattamy back in 11/2020, my home was expected to be completed in February/March of this year. The date was pushed till the end of March due to COVID delays etc. Honestly the entire process was incredibly smooth compared to some of the horror stories that I’ve heard from other homebuyers. Shawn the sales agent was professional personable and straightforward. I used Mattamy funding and received the promised incentive $ towards closing costs. Jon Wheaton the builder is communicative reliable and keeps his word. Even after closing they have responded promptly to my calls or requests. I’ve lived in our new home since April and couldn’t be happier! I’m very pleased and every day find something new about the place that I love. Most of the complaints are regarding the price increases — the cost of my home when I first looked at the community till the time I signed contract increased; however, I was informed each time I visited that the prices would be increasing as the demand for the homes and value were rising. I locked in my deal by the third visit. & surely the value of my property has increased since I purchased :-) although one person complained about the sales agent being too busy with another client & “I’ll take my money elsewhere” mentality, how uncourteous is that? I would imagine if you were working with an agent during a scheduled meeting and making a home purchase you would feel disrespected if you didn’t have their full attention and they were more concerned about visitors stopping in. I appreciate that they are dedicated to their clients rather than jumping on walk-ins like sharks. Call the office and schedule an appointment and you’ll receive the same professionalism.

  The contractors and workers are unsupervised, play loud music and work all times of the night. The homes are poorly constructed (I had a bathroom leak within one week of moving in and my sink nearly fell out of the counter after less than a year of living here). The property is not secure with random people using the amenities like the dog park and not cleaning up after their pets. The sprinklers water the only sidewalks available for walking, making people have to compete with construction trucks (someone is going to get hit!). There is an overwhelming lack of professionalism and customer service from their team.

  We were so excited to look at these and planned a trip today to visit. We were greeted at the door by a rude salesperson that wouldn’t allow us to look at the homes because they were in a sales meeting. We were told to come back later and treated like an annoyance. Guess I’ll take my money elsewhere.

  I'm not surprised that Mattamy has a rating of "F" with the Better Business Bureau. They are very unprofessional, not customer friendly, and down right greedy. They had a house that we were interested in that they raised the price on at least six times in less than a month. It started at $406K on 9/20 and by that time in October it had gone up to $431K. $25K in 30 days! We went in on a Saturday and asked for the internet price, which showed $416K, they said "no, we had a price increase and it's now $419K." We wanted a day to think about it, so first thing Monday morning, we called and said we were ready at $419K, and they said, "Sorry, but we raised it again, it's now $422K." We passed. And in the days since then, they've continued to raise it, and it's now $431K. And guess what - it's still sitting there unsold! They lost a deal over $3000, and it doesn't look like it'll sell anytime soon. We decided to go with Pulte, who locked in our price the minute we said we were interested, despite having a small price increase themselves. They HONORED what they had told us. Now they have a deal. See what a little integrity gets you? Also, when Mattamy showed us their counter tops in one of the models, it had a huge seam down the middle. It made us question their quality anyway as we would never have accepted something that looked that way. I guess we dodged a bullet. Buyer beware!
