JOHN Kilgore4Nice place service guy was super cool and helpful. I went for Oil change service and I like how they put a sticker reminder of what u will need next and how soon. Comfortable waiting area. Only issue the Coffee counter was very dirty. No coffee. I wont hold the dealership responsible it was some messy customers that left crumbs and spilt coffee and just left it. But other than that nice place and cold bottled water😀
Response from the ownerThanks for leaving us a positive review, John! We're so glad we could provide you with comfortable service. We look forward to seeing you in the future!

Kyoungah Park-Yoon2I've been this Mahwah Honda Service 4 times so far now. My previous experiences were good or not bad. I know almost every staff in this Mahwah Honda is so nice and kind. However, today I experienced terrible service. When I singed up for my car, I was told that the service would take 30 min, so I decided to stay there with my little girl(2 and half years old); the person who got my sign-up did not even ask me about shuttle service. HOWEVER fixing my car took over TWO hours. My daughter got hungry as well as sleepy. She started even sucking her fingers after one and half hours because she got so hungry. I understand fixing car is complicated. It's hard to predict exactly how long it takes. BUT, the main problem was that the person who got my sign-up left the office without saying anything to me. I didn't even imagine he left the office already, I just had been waiting for him to come back to his seat. I guessed he was taking care of my car, but he left. Finally, other staffs helped me by checking my car's fixing process and got my car back after over 2 hours. In overall, I'm not pleased with the service today at all. I'm writing this review since I don't want anyone to be in the same situation as me.

Irina Koreen5We purchased a new Honda CR-V last week at Mahwah Honda and had a stellar customer service experience. The sales team was knowledgeable, courteous, and there were no tricks or surprise fees AT ALL. The negotiation was brief and very straightforward. They gave us a great price. We traded in our old vehicle and the trade-in value was negotiated separately and fairly. This is the best new car purchase experience we have ever had and would certainly return here in the future.

Jay Signorello5I had an amazing experience finding and purchasing a used Honda Pilot with Harry Sha. Harry was friendly, professional, and most importantly, not pushy. Prior to car shopping, I spent a ton of time researching the best make and model for my families needs. I wanted to make sure 1) I didn't make any rash decisions 2) I'd nailed down a good deal. I test drove a decent amount of cars at other dealerships prior to seeing Harry and I was disappointed most with how the salesmen were trying to cover up problems with the vehicles. For example, one dealership tried to "air out" the car before I got there, so I wouldn't smell the cigarette smoke when I test drove it. With Harry, I immediately felt a level of trust. He was easy going and wasn't afraid to point out problems and never tried to cover them up. He went out of his way to meticulously point out every feature the car had to offer and make sure I tried everything out to make sure each feature worked. When I brought my wife to pick up the car that I had purchased, he again went through the entire car to bring her up to speed and make her feel comfortable. Most salesman just hand you the keys and say congrats, so yeah, I'd say he went out of his way to make sure we are happy with the purchase. For someone who loathes purchasing cars, he made it a pleasant experience and I look forward to sending my friends & family his way in the future for repeat business. Thanks again Harry!!

Jason Abate (ChameleonX)1We purchased a brand new HR-V on Jan 11. After 3 weeks, the check engine light, the parking break light and another light came on. When we called the associate we bought the car from to explain the situation, he was dismissive, as if we gave him the money, he doesn't care anymore. We brought it in for service, and were given a loaner. This loaner was absolutely disgusting, the interior was dirty but I digress. We picked the car up the next night, and when speaking with the service adviser (I Forget his name, but he was a middle-aged man), he talked down to both me and my wife. Treating us like we were morons. Claiming everything was normal and that the CVT transmission will be janky like it is. We left with the car, confirmed that the issue was resolved (But were not given a reason as to why the parking break indicator was on.) Then, a day later, when driving it up a small hill, all of the sudden the car is making a grinding noise coming from the engine. So, back to service it went! I dropped the car off, with specific instructions on how to replicate the issue. This time, my loaner was another CR-V with a cracked windshield and again, dirty inside) On Monday, I called to check the status, and in dealing with Ben, he told me they couldn't replicate it. I again, gave the specific way for it to happen (driving up a hill, and accelerating the car above 3000 RPM), and he said OK, they will retest. I received a call on my way home from work saying they couldn't find the issue. I go to pick it up, and explained my frustration that they are dismissing this as an issue. Especially since I have read numerous complaints of this same issue. Ben decided to be condescending and claim that we don't understand how a CVT transmission works... Honestly, if its a grinding noise when driving under normal conditions, then its a faulty design. I saw that they had only driven the car for 4 miles in total... Which means they only did 1 test drive, since if they went to where it happens (where they "normally test") its 2 miles each way. So here I am, with a 1 month old car, dealing with issues, and a service department that is unhelpful. I ended up calling Honda Customer service, and the associate I dealt with on the phone was in shock on how useless / apathetic they are. Not once did they offer to be in the car with me to replicate it. Maybe third time will be the charm? EDIT: Car is back at the shop and problem is identified. I will update the review after all is said and done with my updated feelings... Edit 2: Still waiting for it to be fixed. Wast told it would be done on Wed... Its not Friday with no updates.

Jason J. Roman5I wanted to take a moment and thank the guys over at Mahwah Honda for always being so great! My most recent visit was due to issues with the starter on my '13 Accord this past week. From discussing my issue with Angelo last week, meeting with Jeff yesterday morning, and picking up my car last night I could only help but be completely satisfied. The car is back running great! Thanks to Robert, Ronald, & Daniel for your help and expertise during my previous visits and of course a HUGE thanks to the technicians that keep my car going! See you soon.

Alex Everhart1Took my Honda Civic in for a safety recall on the passenger side airbag. I was told it would take one hour because they "had done a ton of them." After 2 hours I was given my keys, as I opened my car door I was dumbfounded at the condition they tried to return my car in. The dash board was cracked near the air vents by the radio. The dash they removed to fix the airbag was lazily put back and the top portion of the seam was sticking up almost a full inch on one side towards the middle. When I brought this to their attention they immediately insisted it could not have been cracked by them (but they worked on the dash directly). I have heard millions of horror stories about dealerships, and I have now lived it. Since the recall incident my radio screen has begun to work it's way down to where 1/3 of the screen has fallen below the dash and cannot be seen. They offered to fix my dash after the parts are delivered to them (4-5 days), which is a massive inconvenience to me given my schedule. I am terrified of what mistakes they will make while fixing their original mistakes. I still cannot believe they would attempt to even hand me the keys without saying anything about the glaringly obvious results of their poor work, avoid this place at all costs.
Response from the ownerAlex, thank you for taking the time to leave this review. We are disappointed to hear about the issue that you had after receiving service from our dealership. We never want a guest to feel as though we don't value them and can assure you that this is an uncommon experience. I would be happy to speak with you about these issues and probable solutions for them at your earliest convenience. Please, reach out to me at 201-574-1382. I look forward to speaking with you.
