  Tellers are exceptional BUT the loan processing leaves a lot to be desired, days and days with no corespondents, messages left, no call backs what so ever. Closed my account and will no longer bank with them. I’m glad I did the bare minimum to be a “full service member” and kept my other bank as my primary. It was worth giving them a chance I suppose, but I’ll gladly give another FCU another .5-1% for customer service and proper communication.

  Every time I go to cash a check of any amount the bank insists they need to put a hold on those checks. Anywhere from 1 day to 14. I tried to cash treasury warrants and got a receipt stating 14 days for check number 3 and 7 days for number 2 and 1 day for the first 1. I got less than half my money 1 day and while being assured over and over and over it was mandatory to put a 1 day hold on state treasury checks(which were treasury warrants NOT checks)and I would get my money the next day I have not received it. Thank heavans I saved 1 check and deposited it in my other bank so I could pay some bills on time or I would be waiting even longer. Also why give something called over draft tolerance that is bank discretion to pay if you plan on threatening to not pay a paycheck immediately from the same payroll account every week? This bank is s joke and is not very good following their own rules.

  They get 2 stars because the majority of staff I had contact with were polite and helpful. Otherwise this dumpster fire of a credit union would only get 1. First major issue I had was there is NO, NONE, ZERO customer service available at nights or on weekends. Second issue was they attached a zip code to my debit card that I have never used in my life. So I was unable to activate my card for 3 days had to drive 15 miles to get it activated in person. They still have the wrong zip attached to my account. Third issue is they have only 2 branches, Fairbanks and Wasilla. the fourth and most egregious thing in my opinion is their Fraud Protection service. After having failed to activate my debit card because of their repeated mistake with the zip code. I got a call Monday morning which was led off by an automated voice asking a series of questions. Then I was to be connected to a "Fraud Specialist" or whatever. I was on hold for over 5 min. Seems to me a business that calls their customers up to put them on hold have some serious flaws in their management. It didn't happen 1 time it happened twice. Call me up to put me on hold. Here is concept MAC, if your company knows it will be reaching out to a customer, maybe you have a person ready to take that call immediately. We are the customers and for you as an institution to devalue our time is a slap in the face. If I call you, well then I would expect being placed on hold as a possibilty.. To call me and put me on hold til you are ready is just garbage cutomer relations.

  I've never had an account with the credit union but I've dealt with them in sales of vehicles and atv to other people who are with them. This place is trash idk who in there right mind would ever open an account here they make the easiest task 5 hours long and painful to the point where you question life itself. Why do I need to come there to sell my vehicle to a person that has an account with you no other bank does that. Do your self a favor and go to Alaska usa like everyone eles. I will never sell anything to anyone that has an account with them again because it's just not worth the time.

  All staff here has been nothing but helpful and kind. They have met my needs with the tools available to them or helped me figure out how to handle whatever I need done if their services didn't cover it. I've used almost every bank in the valley over the years and have experienced a range of unfortunate "errors" from lost payments to critical misinformation, to downright rude staff members, this one has yet to let me down.

  Started out ok but then I found out the call center tellers are rude and really do not listen to what my needs are and end up not getting things done, forcing me to drive all the way to the single location in person. Months later I find myself logging....err trying to login to the worst online banking app I have ever been on. Good ridden MAC you had your time at bat this is the 3rd strike!

  Great bank. MAC FCU has always been great to us. Low interest rate loans too!
