Lone Star Financing Reviews

Michael Underwood5As a realtor here in Austin, TX, I’ve been working with Lone Star Financing for almost a decade. The loan officers at Lone Star financing are without a doubt the best communicators in the business. They provide timely updates to me and my buyers from the start of the loan to close of sale and I can't tell you how important that is during a real estate transaction. I recommend all of my clients use Lone Star financing because unlike a lot of mortgage companies they can close loans on time. During one of the most critical times of my customers lives, it's imperative that all links of the chain are strong. Having the right lender in place is key. Thanks Lone Star!

Trent Hickman1I would give this company a negative rating if it were possible. The buyer of my house went though this company for her loan we have had to push closing back five separate times. Now that I have a house in perspective the sellers of that house are getting frustrated that we have had to move closing twice now. The loan officers are extremely unprofessional there are brokers and realtors trying to get a hold of them but they dont answer if they do it's an email at midnight. They have a message on their voicemail that says to email NOT to call again. They have put us though the ringer with delays and just being unorganized. I have read other reviews that the same thing happened with those people as well. I'm not sure how this company is still in business.

Jeff Parker5Dale was very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the mortgage process. He always told me upfront what he could do and always did what he said that he would do. Dale took the time to listen to what I needed and walked me through each process. He always answered his phone or emails and always made me feel that I could call him anytime with any questions or concerns that I may have. Dale and his team were wonderful to work with. I would definitely use Dale again if I had a mortgage need.

Scott Kruse5I have gone through the home financing five times, and this is my second re-finance. Lone Star Financing, Dale Gremillion and team, was the best experience I've ever had going through the mortgage process. The previous finance company I used to purchase my home was the worst experience I'd ever had in getting a mortgage. I was extremely hesitant to go through the re-finance process, but with the interest rates being so low I knew I would be saving a lot of money. I did the research to find a highly reviewed local financing company, and Lone Star Financing was the best. They did an outstanding job helping me through the process, made it incredibly easy and quick. They explained aspects I needed assistance with, always answering my questions the same day. I am extremely pleased with the work they did, and I have already started sharing how great the experience was with them to my friends thinking about re-financing their home. If you are considering it, and are nervous about the process or have had bad experiences with mortgage companies, like I had in the past, then I highly recommend you give them a call. Great people, great work, and very professional.

Mckenzie Webb1Okay. First, if I could give this finance company 0 stars, I would. Second, these people DO NOT have their act together. Original closing day was July 27th. after the 5th time having the closing date pushed back (at no ones fault but Lone Star's) our closing date is now September 11. Two extra mortgage payments later, WE ARE NOT HAPPY. This company has held up 3 contingencies waiting on the finance to go through. Third, they cannot keep track of documents to save their lives. If you want your finance company to know your name, return a phone call or email, find a different company.

Richard Blackwell1If I could go 0 I would. My wife and I lost the house we fought 2 months for because of this joke of a finance company! Jumped through every single hoop they would side line us with. For everyone who says Dale is so great I’m sure glad he was for y’all because he screwed us big time and getting ahold of anyone there is second to impossible! So now my wife and I are homeless. Thanks a lot Lonestar finance. Hope y’all sleep great IN YOUR HOMES!! Smh.

Kristin Wipff1They deserve negative stars. Do not use this company, this has been such a bad experience that I don't even know where to start. I'm not one to leave reviews about people, but I can't sit quietly about this. These people do not have their act together. They strung me along for two months, pushing my closing date 4 times. They didn't communicate, never answered my realtors phone calls, and never discussed anything with me about my loan, like adding points and not letting us know that I paid for a rush order on the appraisal because they forgot to order it. The loan ended up being denied over something that should've been seen before I was even pre-approved. Which means we may lose a few thousand dollars in earnest money, the inspection, and appraisal because they didn't work on my file until after the 2nd closing date was pushed.
Response from the ownerKristin we are truly sorry for your experience and would like to know more details about your loan officer and details of your specific case. So that we can gather your information confidentiality and look in to this further could you please email [email protected] with your name, best contact time/number and your property address and we will have a manager reach out further.

syfer gamer5Dale really is a guy who gets things done, as fast as possible, great team. We are enjoying our new home, thanks Dale and team, thanks for taking the stress out of our first time home purchase! Recommend 100%

Ricky Dodd1Definitely DO NOT recommend. Does not return calls after promising approval. Been waiting roughly a month for a call back now. after he convinced me to go ahead and let him run a credit check because he said we should be APPROVED . Based on information id already receieved from Rocket Mortgage. Go there . Not here. The guy was horrible and hisassistant was worse. Promising call back after call back. And then lying to us about status of the application. I REPEAT! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THESE PEOPLE.

Dominique Soto1Fiancé applied for FHA and got nothing but automated texts everyday, run around on phone calls and a rude text message claiming to be busy. How were we supposed to get things going if you don’t respond to text message and or phone call via the office or cell phone!? How can you say please give us a call so we can speak and literally not want to speak!? Awful waste of time & credit pull! please spare yourself the pain of this company.
