Choosing Linda Rozet to do our taxes has been a good decision. As a retired pastor, I need someone who knows and understands the specifics of tax law as it applies to my situation, because tax law treats members of the clergy quite differently than other professionals. Linda knows and understands those specifics, as well as tax law in general, and she is good at keeping up with the changes that Congress passes every year. 2021 will be the fourth year Linda will have done our taxes for us. She has helped us with tax planning at year's end, as well, especially with Roth IRA conversions. She is good to get back to me with answers to my questions. Her rates are very reasonable.

We found Linda and her team to be friendly and we had a good experience. We did the "tax planning projection" option. Linda ran three scenarios for us. She provided us with the information needed for us to make very important decisions, and at a reasonable price. :-)

Being a new client this year, I was really impressed with Linda and her staff! Especially since she has kept us informed with many IRS decisions regarding the Covid19 situation. Moving from another state, working remotely for another state, she made our filing our taxes easy and was very informative. Very reasonably priced too! Definitely will be a forever client!

If you want to be fifth in line come here. If you want your taxes done go elsewhere. Apparently you need to be patient as you get fined every month. She can get you out of a bind by making a call to the IRS at the tune of 75.00. she can post it in the office as an accomplishment. Come to find out the IRS will right off the penalty on first time offenders.

      Response from the owner

We have been running a successful business for 25 years and YES you are correct, With 25 years of established clients, it is very common to even have over a hundred tax returns in our processing queue at any given time. That is the way this industry commonly works as there is high demand in short time frames.. Yes you are correct, you most definitely need to have patience when you are requesting assistance with IRS resolution. We do have other clients besides yourself that we are assisting concurrently. IRS agents now work from home, have shorter support hours, have cut out resources and tend to have technology issues with dropped phone lines and down fax lines. YES, you are correct, you will incur fines with IRS daily if you are delinquent in your tax matters for whatever reason. We offer clients complimentary advice on resolving their own IRS matters or we offer the preparation of power of attorney forms to handle cases of resolution directly with IRS. That resolution starts at a nominal $75 and competitor pricing averages $200+ for the same service. Yes you are correct, we definitely can provide anonymous success stories of several clients we have helped save significant amounts of money by working with IRS on resolution of cases. YES, you are correct, IRS has many areas where clients can qualify to have penalties removed, depending on their circumstance and we work with IRS to determine if and which one a client can qualify for. We realize there is anxiety in dealing with finances. However, there are many times and for many reasons, professional projects need additional time to complete. We give all clients the time and attention their project requires and use judgement to prioritize projects within our firm. Tax preparation specifically entails professional judgement and CPA's are bound by principals of integrity, accuracy, honesty and objectivity, never SPEED . This firm WILL NOT sacrifice SPEED over ACCURACY, as you are implying. We had chosen and communicated that we would NOT do future business with you as of our last emailed correspondence. We are sorry you don't understand, appreciate and/or agree with these important principals that we are required to follow. Best regards.

I had a very hurtful experience with Linda Rozet. I have been a customer for a few years and really appreciated her prompt communication and prompt work. I was so puzzled as to why I was "cut off" from her personal responses when I needed an amendment to an earlier return, through no fault of my own. Please keep in mind that Linda was helpful in regards to this when I was quite upset over discovering that I had to file this amendment. When she did my 2020 taxes earlier in the year, she emailed on May 8th regarding the amendment "We process those POST May 17th, after the busy season deadline." Okay no problem. I waited, and didn't hear anything back. This is where things get very hurtful. From here on out, she never personally responded to my emails, just had her front desk person string me along. On June 21, the front desk person emailed "Linda is currently on vacation and will return on July 6th" Okay, no problem. On August 3rd the front desk person emailed "We realize this has been awaiting processing awhile." On September 13, I called and asked to make an appointment with Linda. Linda called me back and I explained that I was anxious about getting the tax amendment done, that I didn't want to get audited, particularly when this was not something I was even aware of during that tax year, that I emailed her several times and never heard from her personally with any updates. I really didn't understand what was going on until Linda rudely told me that she was doing other taxes and she couldn't tell those paying customers that she had to do my amendment. I was stunned. Keep in mind that she told me that she would be doing it post May 17th! This is September 13th! She belittled me like I was at fault for even inquiring about it on September 13th, she said she had 3 years to do it- where is that written in her "I will be doing it post-May 17th" comment? I realized that I was not even worthy of considerate treatment because she didn't consider me a paying customer since I had already paid for my taxes to be completed. Not worthy of even a personal email response from her. I had no idea that this was the reason for her treatment because I was intending to pay her to complete the tax amendment just like any other tax related service! That is why I was so stunned by the way she was treating me. The worst part is that instead of admitting that she did tell me that she would be completing it post-May 17th, she blamed me for expecting it to be completed according to what she conveyed to me. If you have ever dealt with someone who refuses to take responsibility, then you know exactly what I mean. It is called gaslighting. I am just sick over this experience and hope to help someone else. Thanks for reading.

      Response from the owner

As we mentioned on the phone, we are sorry we cannot assist you with your situation any longer. Our team has sent multiple emails responding to you and explaining the amended return process to you . We pointed out an error to you that arose in your original income tax filing from reports that were given to you late by a 3rd party. We gladly offered to correct this error for you and explained we work amended tax returns in between existing accounting/tax deadlines. We start that process for clients in post tax season without firm completion times. Our office Manager Carole, attempted to explain this again to you at great lengths. As a CPA owner, I rearranged my schedule to also talk to you by phone to further elaborate . By your unwillingness to listen to any team members and hanging up the phone on the owner, we were unable to give you a thorough response. We realize there is anxiety in dealing with finances. However, there are many times and for many reasons, professional projects need additional time to complete. We give all clients the time and attention their project requires and use judgement to prioritize projects within our firm. CPA's are bound by principals of integrity, objectivity, professionalism and ethics. We will not sacrifice speed over accuracy. We have chosen not to do business with you going forward as your actions and communication attempts do not allow us to uphold these principals. Best wishes to you..... LINDA ROZET CPA
