Legacy Mortgage Reviews

Courtney Clifford5There aren't enough good words to adequately express how wonderful working with Aaron and his team at Legacy Mortgage was. As a first time homebuyer I had probably more than a million questions and needed a lot of help throughout the whole process and they were always available. They even helped me find an absolutely wonderful realtor and worked with my crazy schedule as a night shift nurse to get everything done, signed and myself into my new beautiful home! 5 stars just isn't enough!

Andrew Lionheart1Would not recommend them! The lady we were working with to refinance our home had told us communication is key then completely ghosted us with no reason. When I try to call or leave an email no response and to this day it's sitting on "your papers are under review" I don't get it? just communicate.
Response from the ownerWe are sorry Andrew that you had a bad experience, we pride ourselves on always providing good customer service however, can you please provide us with more details and exactly who you worked with that caused you to provide such a negative review? Please Contact us at 505-296-4747 and ask for the Marketing Director, I would love the opportunity speak with you on this matter so we can take measures to ensure that things like this do not happen on our watch. Your response would be greatly appreciated.

Xakren1We tried to use this company. The person we worked with claimed she had been doing this for years but always seemed confused and rude. She always assumed we knew everything and was not willing to help. She made sure to make us aware that we were not her priority. Any time we provided her with info, she asked for she would pretend we never sent it. We asked for her to file an extension, which she did not do reducing our timeline to something she could not accomplish . Lastly, she spent more time complaining to us about what we did wrong than helping us understand how to fix it. Tldr If you have a choice to use this company or be homeless choose homelessness. You will be homeless either way but at least you won't be stressed and belittled.
Response from the ownerXakren - We are sorry that you possibly had a bad experience with our company, we pride ourselves on always providing good customer service. However, can you please provide us with more details and exactly who you worked with that caused you to provide such a negative review? Without this key information it just looks like someone maliciously attacking our company and I'm sure that is not the case, so Please Contact us at 505-296-4747 and ask for the Marketing Director. This will help us take measures to ensure that things like this do not happen on our watch. Your response would be greatly appreciated.

Kara Deyhle5We had a very good experience working with Cameron Gilmore and his team. They were able to get us a pre-qualification letter quickly to help us make an offer on an unexpected opportunity. All of our surprises were to our benefit and everything went quickly and smoothly. We were able to do almost everything online through a secure portal which was very convenient and helpful. Cameron also quickly communicated with me via phone or text if there was anything that needed our attention or decisions that needed to be made to keep things moving along smoothly.

Chelsea Crilley5Working with Legacy Mortgage was so easy and comfortable. Our loan officer, Heather Gilstrap answered my hundreds of questions with out making me feel like a dummy. I feel like I better understand my mortgage and I know I found a mortgage that best meets my families finances and future plans. It’s nice to work with a company who employ people like Heather. I value her kindness and direct answers. Such an amazing experience.

SueC 441Held up the sale of our home. Under appraised our home, tried to inappropriately change the purchase agreement. Seller beware. The appraiser was not given all documentation for the appraisal. The appraiser failed to include the missing information and refused to change his report. If the lender felt the first appraisal was truly accurate, they wouldn’t have ordered a second appraisal, which came in right at asking price. The lender failed to meet 3 closing dates. All documented by email and contract.
Response from the ownerWe are sorry that you had a bad experience, however we are the lender, we represent the Buyer and we have no influence over how much a property appraises for. By law we cannot influence the appraisal process the Appraiser puts together all of the property information and THEY, state how much the property will appraise for. As far as the changing the purchase agreement one of two things happen at this point. 1) The buyer and sellers real estate agents along with the buyer and seller renegotiate and decide to amend the original purchase agreement and the deal goes through. We are not involved in the negotiation process as the Lender we then change our documents according to the agreement and the transaction closes. 2) The Buyer and Seller cannot come to an agreement and the transaction is terminated. With this in mind I would like to respectfully request that you please delete this post. Thank You.

Kate Manzer5Roger Gettler and Rebecca Marquez provided an amazing, trusted, loan processing experience. Roger was very clear in explaining what I would need to do, and was very skilled and transparent about what was happening each step of the way. Rebecca was great especially in the final stretch in making sure all my details and document were accurate. I felt completely prepared and knowledgeable at closing. I really felt cared for, and am now a homeowner! :)
