Dan Carpenter5I've been a member of LMCU since I was a baby, but I've always had a good experience with them. The Gull Road branch has always been quick and courteous and I've never experienced an issue. Would definitely recommend LMCU.

JL S1Mortgage department will ruin your credit by doing a hard pull Twice...for an unknown reason...they should only need to do once since we only applied once. They also said we would very likely be approved but they ended up Not approving us. We really got the run around. They also said we couldn't mortgage our brand new property. Well we did Elsewhere so they were wrong and we knew they were. Had that comment at another credit union too but we ended up getting exactly what we wanted at another credit union. Shop around because some credit unions are not as good as others

Alexandria Schreiber1What a joke. We had no realtor for the house we wanted to buy. Every thing went smooth until closing. Than it was like a ghost town, a week in a half of questions left and not answered. The senior loan officer was awesome but went on vacation, her appointee was a joke, I left countless messages with no return answers. And are own local loan officer didn't return any calls. The bottom line is they only give the illusion of caring about what you may need. They really dont! Do your business some where else!

Nichole Allen1If I could give the loan department a negative star I would. This place is a joke to do a combined construction loan and lot. Super unprofessional with terrible attention to detail and communication. Begins with getting my name wrong when they have a copy of my driver's license. We close three weeks late because LMCU claims the seller's title company continues to send back paperwork that is incorrect. But we don't know this until the final rescheduling. Obviously, no one here can pick up a phone to straighten out the issue. Ask for documents multiple times as if they continue to lose them in cyberspace. LMCU was given final build numbers at the end of April and we don't go into underwriting until end of May. I do appreciate all the number crunching that had to be done for me. That was nice. However, we talk face to face with our loan officer, Greg, to discuss the down payment and finalize the number. The agreement comes to us to sign with a down payment 5% higher than what we had just discussed a few days prior! When it was updated it was sent to the wrong email. Had it been sent to my proper email we could have had it signed several days earlier. When I ask for an updated document showing the adjust number the loan processor, Brianna, says the loan has been adjust to $$number. That doesn't tell me or show me the adjusted down payment. Little statements like this show their lack of communication skills. There were other statements, but I'd have to go on for days. We became millenials and moved into my parents' basement while we build. I had to fill out an explanation letter stating I did not have ownership in their house. Weird, but no biggie. Red tape. Once we're in the middle of underwriting I had to do this again? Nothing had changed in the few weeks since I wrote the exact same letter prior. Someone in the LMCU staffing could do their own research and see that I'm not on the title and have no claim to the taxes of my parents' house. I get an email that we're finalizing and simply waiting on a few signatures from the builder. I get this email while I'm on the phone with the builder who has no idea what they're talking about. They then email each other. Our garage contractor is different from our home contractor. To sign a contract he requires 1/3 down payment. Our loan officer said we'd be able to get the loan through without a signed contract from our garage contractor. Stating a simple quote would work. Then, we had to sign the quote as it was not approved otherwise. Not a big deal until we learned that a week later we needed the garage contractor to ALSO sign the quote! I could've had that done a week prior! Coming down to our close date of middle June. I get an email that they're waiting for the garage docs, which was a joke as written above, and a few signatures from our house builder. We figure it to be more of the same "seller's title company paperwork being wrong" which by now makes me believe LMCU is totally incompetent. Finally, we close on July 1. Nobody there, but us. The signing of the garage docs put us back and the title company didn't even have the signed garage quote we provided. Now THAT's attention to detail. Seriously, I would never recommend this place for any type of loan. It was as if they had never performed a construction/lot loan combination. Everything felt like it was in training or their first day. Things seemed ok when we talked with our loan officer. Our questions were answered face to face, but when it came down to signing docs and emailing the system broke down. Everything they asked of us was returned signed or completed same day or next day. We had one weekend when they asked for my husband's W2s on a Thursday and he wasn't able send them until the following Tuesday. The cherry on the sundae was when we closed on July 1 and they still took out the loan payment for the lot. We have yet to receive our post-closing survey. I can't wait for that. And no apologies from anyone. I would be embarrassed if this were how I worked. Ridiculous doesn't even cover it.
