  Account gets hacked monthly and thousands of dollars stolen on was stolen on a reoccurring basis. Lake Michigan credit Union's fraud department is terrible and does nothing to stop or save your money from being stolen...

  After a bit of a harried day, we stopped into the credit union to do a quick transaction. The teller was super friendly and helpful showing genuine interest in our needs and asking pertinent questions. In making small talk, we conveyed we had just come from the hospital and were hoping that our relative would make a speedy recovery. She finished the transaction, then informed us that an additional 20 dollars had been placed in our account for "lunch on LMCU"! She wished us a great day, and it truly felt like an unexpected blessing. Two weeks later...we got a card that thanked us for our business, hoped we liked the lunch and sent wishes for the recovery of our loved one. Now THAT is taking care of your members.

  These guys are amazing. They're always very friendly. As a random act of kindness today, I was informed that my mortgage payment would be paid in full for me for this month. Blown Away and in shock bye the experience. Can't say enough nice things about the company and this specific branch.

  Due to the poor service, not returning phone calls and constant fees I initiated the closure of my account over a year ago. It’s still open and incurring fees. At some point this has to be illegal. The chat service agent is unable to confirm my identity even though I am chatting via my account while logged into my app. Phone calls are not returned. I’ve resubmitted the closure paperwork yet again. Maybe this time it will work. LMCU has been an absolute nightmare.

  We've had an account there for a long time, even before it was Lake Michigan Credit Union. Today I went in to make a deposit, and was very surprised when I saw that none of the employees were wearing a mask. I think that as a matter of respect to the customers, it should be MANDATORY!!! I left extremely disappointed and I will be looking for another bank!
