I'll take this back if our power stays on during this storm seeing that thousands of people paid alot of money towards repairs on the power lines to hold storms like this let's see if our money went to good use

Since zero stars is not possible...so I mail my bill on the 18th of January so that there are nearly two weeks before the due date. Note, we mail our Louisville bills to Lehigh Valley, PA, which already shows there is something wrong with this picture, but even though my bill was postmarked on the 18th by USPS I get charged a late fee by LG&E. LG&E received the payment several days ago and payment posted in my account yesterday, 2/11/21. How on Earth can I be penalized for the utter fail that used to be called the USPS? I was told that I have online payment options. Well, what if I don't want to pay online due to the swiss cheese nature of web security and banking fraud. I am so tired of these government funded and government regulated agencies and their bureaucratic minions who work for them. Rates keeps going up, but the service just keeps getting worse and worse. People with the acumens of gnats must be making ALL of the decisions. LG&E has to do better.

They way this company functions is beyond comprehension. New leadership is definitely needed because whoever made these rules probably puts mayonnaise on the outside of their sandwich.

THE COMPANY DOESNT READ YOUR METERS EVERY MONTH, SO YOU CAN HAVE AN 88.00$ BILL ONE MONTH AN THE NEXT MONTH A 188.00$ BILL. HONESTLY, I DON'T THINK THEY EVER READ YOUR METERS! LAST WINTER I HAD A 300.00$ BILL AND I LIVE IN A SMALL APARTMENT. I HAVE FRIENDS WITH HOUSES MUCH LARGER THAN MY APARTMENT AND THEIR BILL WAS LESS. THEY DON'T DESERVE ONE STAR!

As a customer of LG&E since 2008, I am telling all consumers to pay close attention to your bill. I have caught them not adding payments and or the full amount. After, speaking with them I was able to get credits added to my account. Since the change to the bill and how it's explained its now even more confusing to the customer. Now in March 2019, since paying more And my April's bill there should be a credit added on my account!! Leaving my May bill lessor! Please, please customer's pay attention to your bills because they are stealing from you! I will now have to pay additional money until this matter is disputed, and the proper complaints are made and personally writing higher authority! LG&E should not be taking advantage of people I can only imagine how they have cheated the disabled and elderly! This is so sad!!!

This company should be ashamed of themselves! With this increase in my bill … I can’t make ends meet. Ridiculously sickening.

I realize leaving a review for a utility company is pretty much a waste of time. They have a monopoly and bad reviews on the internet aren't going to change the fact that we are dependent on them. We set up a payment online last month, and for whatever reason it was not received. On our part, we should have been more on top of it, but again, for some reason we missed that the payment never went through. Notifications were going to an email address that I don't check (my fault), and I rarely open physical mail from companies because we get so much junk mail (again my fault). Long story short our power was disconnected. What has me extremely frustrated is that no one attempted to call me, and that the technician couldn't simply knock on the door to tell us what was happening. When the power went off, I went outside and saw him sitting in the driveway. I tried to flag him down (still not even knowing what was going on until I looked at my account and saw the payment never went through), but he peeled out of the driveway and sped off. A brief call before, or a simple knock on the door could have avoided an extreme inconvenience. We have no idea when the power will be restored (it's winter by the way), a reconnection fee to pay, and a $260 deposit added to our account (despite never EVER having any problems with paying and having a near perfect credit score). This was a simple oversight/mistake. I take responsibility for that. The way LG&E handled it is wrong. They need to take responsibility for that and change their policies regarding contacting customers before a disconnect. Simply sending a letter in the mail is not enough. What is more troubling is that the Kentucky PSC allows this. Revise the laws regarding utility disconnection. Other states require 24 hour notice or telephone calls. Our PSC seems to be totally in favor of the utility company and not the customer.

Paid a bill like 20 minutes late, so I paid my bill and then decided to sign up for auto payment. Long story short they charged me 2 times, I'm out $600 and won't send the money back. Im sure this situation, has happened with many people who are worried about not paying late again. Absolutely garbage company, too bad they have no competition and i am unable to do business elsewhere.

My bill once read over $800 for a 2 bedroom apartment. Obviously the reader was misread, because we had a plumber come out and check our gas lines. I called LGE to have our meter re-read, and they did. Once again, the same reading came up. I called again and the woman on the phone was nasty, I was trying to explain that there is absolutely NO WAY that our bill that is normally ~$100 was an astronomical $800 but she was not having it. She told me that since it had been re-read, that I was wrong and there was obviously a bad gas leak. She then said that I when it was re-read my meter showed zero usage for this month, which was also incorrect because both our stove and A/C used gas. I had to have my landlord come over and read it himself while calling LGE to sort it out. Obviously the 2 initial reading was incorrect and our bill was less than $100. Not only can their meter readers not read the effing meter, but it's almost impossible to get anyone to believe you when you don't have meter knowledge. I'm glad my landlord was nice enough to help me sort it out, or I could have been stuck with a bill almost a high as my rent in the highlands. Screw this monopolized forced consumerism. I want solar panels.

Nice people sometimes but very incompetent. Not enough space in this review to tell the whole story of years of incompetence. They can't follow simple instructions or stick to their own instructions very simply put. Absolutely infuriating and financially damaging to my to my business and life. Charging me for service where it's disconnected at the pole, telling me there is a gas leak and me hiring somebody to fix it and no gas leak is found ,no work done yet they come out and turn the service back on lol. Stuff like that. Switching apartment numbers around and causing all kinds of delays to get service turned on. Then their authoritarian attitudes take over when you have the nerve to comment on the bad service and I try to straighten it out without me trying to making the situation worse. They are the ones that make it worse. Changing rules and incomplete instructions given to me and received by me.Caveat emptor!!! They are now as bad as the water company!!!
