Greg Munroe5Knox has been absolutely great. I’ve owned a few rental properties over the years, And they became such a hassle I was looking for an alternative. Knox was amazing. Their communication was great. They found me a great renter. They help with everything. I had to get the place painted and they handled everything. Great way to hold onto a property and not have any hassles It’s very hard to find a management company that will handle one condo at a time or one rental property. That’s why Knox is so great. You will not be disappointed. And, more importantly, you’ll save a ton of time. And Hassle. Kirah Carney5I moved into an apartment Feb 1st 2021 and lived there until end of August. Move in process was quick, efficient and effortless! Communication was great, the people who work at Knox are great & the apartment & its location were wonderful. I had one issue involving the sink that got taken care of within a week or two. Knox responded right away but since it was during covid & summer months, lots of services were extremely busy so the wait was a tad longer but no big deal! They kept me up to date on when it was going to be fixed and the problem was resolved :) I recommend Knox 100%. I moved out of state but will use them again in the future if needed!

Amelia Amy4We rent from Knox financial. We had a rough start but after finally speaking with Knox, there is a game plan in place and they have been communicative and responsive. We are awaiting repairs to our apartment, and are resolving past issues. Hopefully this is the start of a much better relationship! Once repairs are done to our apartment I hope to give a full 5 stars!

Mike Floeck1I’m appalled at the scope of the disastrous experience we’ve had with a Knox-managed property. Knox has begun to deduct money from our rent account for supposed utility charges, but refuses to provide bills for these charges — meaning I don’t know when the charges are coming, or how much they’ll be. They’re impossibly inconsistent, so much so that I received an unprompted $1,000 bill for “utilities” for a 1BR, 1BA -apartment. Knox ignores certain terms of their own lease and communications go unanswered for so long that it’s hard to remind them what the problem is. It seems I’m always emailing a different representative, as no one replies. My emails are seldom returned, my calls go unanswered, and several maintenance requests remain unanswered for months, too. When maintenance requests ARE answered, the contractor has no idea about the scope of the job or my requested availability, and contractors have failed to show up to scheduled appointments repeatedly. Knox does not operate to the benefits of tenants — if you find out the property you’re about to rent is managed by this company, I would run the other direction and save yourself the headache. I wish I could offer something positive, but it’s clear that no one from Knox I’ve interacted with has any idea what they’re doing.

pelikano sky2We are currently renting a property managed by Knox. It has been over a month since our lease started and we are frustrated with the litany of issues that have come up. 1. The property has appliances that are not functional and other issues (Examples - a. no water supply to the dishwasher unit. A technician fixed the appliance and now water is leaking from it into the basement. There is wooden flooring and we are concerned about damage to the flooring at this point; b. the microwave functions for barely two minutes and then the exhaust fan makes a terrible noise while over heating the items inside the microwave; c. no water supply through outlets outside the house; d. the door bell doesn't work and we keep missing packages from work) 2. The online maintenance portal app didn't work for us and it took them a month to fix it. 3. They advertise 24/7 maintenance and we now understand that 24/7 is the submission of maintenance/repair requests. They do not have any maintenance personnel to resolve these requests in a timely manner. 4. Issues with payment to contractor/repair technician. The payment information provided by the property management was apparently declined when the technician tried to submit his invoice after checking the dishwasher. 5. The basement light doesn't work and we have to use a flashlight to get down the stairs. This creates a potentially unsafe situation when water is leaking into the basement. We have been renting for the last 14 years and we have never started a lease at a place where the property management did not conduct an inspection to ensure all appliances are in working condition. We would have happily fixed these problems if we owned the house but we are choosing to rent because we do not want to deal with these issues. Again, these are items that should have been checked prior to the move-in. If you are a property owner, Knox may be great as your ally ensuring you spend less and experience "frictionless ownership"; however if you are a renter, the experience is the opposite of frictionless. @Knox - your vision is great but come on you've got to improve your tenant experience. We will revise this review only when Knox improves their tenant experience.

Ray S10 stars. Friend has a GAPING OPEN SKYLIGHT in bathroom self-taped with plastic because the WINDOW FLEW OFF ONTO THE STREET in the property she rents in Boston. Severe rainfall has entered bathroom and damaged walls significantly. Continues to be told they are “working on it” via phone every single day when they have not even come to assess it. It has been a month. This is an emergency situation that should have been fixed in ONE DAY. There is nothing left she can do so I am writing this review to at least warn others! They are lucky animals or thieves have not climbed through yet. Also I’m sure the property owner would not like to hear the management company they pay is doing nothing to manage the property and is letting it be destroyed. Despicable communication, DO NOT EVER rent a property managed by Knox Financial.
