KeyBank Reviews

Zack Reitan5There’s just not a better bank branch in Salem. The whole team is phenomenal and the Branch Manager, Tommy, is one of the most knowledgeable bankers that the City has. If you don’t bank at Key Bank’s State Street location, you probably don’t have a bank account; when in that case, their Hassle-Free account would be a great option for you.
Response from the ownerGood morning, Zack! Thank you for the glowing review! We're so glad you've chosen to bank with Key, and we're so glad to hear about your experience at the State St. branch. We're always here if you need anything. Happy holidays! 🎁 ^SH

Joseph Carswell1Fully wasted my time. Reported fraud on my account because I was unsure of a check I received. For giving them a heads up they closed my account because of fraud even tho there was no fraud committed but they sure had no problem giving me the run around. My advice go to a real bank like chase or Wells Fargo .
Response from the ownerHi Joseph, I appreciate you taking the time to reach out to us. I can see if this can be escalated for you if you'd like. Just send an email to [email protected] including any additional info you have along with your full name and phone # so we can reach out to you. Also, please reference case #70418. Thanks! ^LH

Jennifer Hayden1Disrespectful and condescending behavior from the banker I worked with. I felt I was treated poorly due to my age and did not feel that my financial means were taken seriously and that my age was taken as a bigger indicator of my financial ability than my credit score or income.
Response from the ownerJennifer, I’m sorry to hear you had this experience. Can you Email us more information on the name of the person you had the appointment with to [email protected] including #64966 and your full account name with a contact phone number and zip code. Thank you. ^JL

Kirdy Hohensee1We went here to set up a business account after emailing with the branch manager. We encounter very poor customer service and no follow up from two people who were supposed to call us. After the meeting we emailed him to let him know about the service. He apologized and said he would have done thing differently and he would have the people contact us right away. It’s been 3 business days and they still haven’t contacted us. All of this was prior to the fires so the delay is not due to that.
Response from the ownerHi Kirdy - I sm sorry to hear you are having such a hard time getting this taken care of. Please reach out to us at [email protected]. We will be happy to have this looked into for you. Thank you. ^JF

Scott Mccraw1I do not use Key Bank for my personal banking, but I went in to this branch to do a work deposit. Wow. Just wow. Really weird vibe at this branch. Was barely acknowedged by a young man, who was the only teller in sight. I pulled my deposit out of my coat pocket and stood there for at least a full 2 minutes without him looking back up at me. I was the only customer in the building. Finally did a search on my phone and saw that there was another branch that would also be on my way, very nearby. I just left and stopped at the other branch where I was greeted and helped promptly.
Response from the ownerHello Scott, thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear about your experience and have forwarded your comments to the appropriate area for review. Thank you.^CH

Dont Worry1This bank held my cashier check! Banks must make funds available within 24hrs on government and cashier checks! This bank broke laws by holding my funds but I'm not to worried about it because my check will clear I'll just give them a bad review and find a new bank!

Emily Cahal1The staff is condescending. I've been with key for years... and while I do not want to change banks, I will no longer be using the downtown Salem branch due to repeated interactions with one girl in particular. I am the customer... and the banker should be there to help for simple transactions.
Response from the ownerEmily-We're sorry to hear about your recent experience. Would you mind sending more details privately about what happened? Please email any details to [email protected]. Please include your full name and a phone to get in touch. Thank you. -KeyBank Customer Care
