Middle of the day on a Thursday. They don't have any tellers. Only bank manager is allowed to make teller transactions. But manager is in with new clients. People at drive through are told they have to wait for a few other people in line, I'm one of them. Can't use ATM, I have a considerable deposit. So I get to wait until manager is done with all other things before I can make deposit. No way to run a business. There's another employee in the branch, but not allowed to do anything.

I am VERY unhappy with this bank branch! I have had a checking account with Key for ... probably 40 years. I maintain a decent balance; have never had an unpaid loan... started a company in 1959 which STILL uses Key Bank as their bank. Yet, when I asked them to cash a printed check with my return on it, yesterday, for only $50. and clearly had more than that amount in my account, and gave ID (driver's license, credit card) the driver's license had expired a couple of months ago, and they refused to cash my check! TALK ABOUT CUSTOMER RELATIONS!!! I live within a few blocks, and appeared inside the bank, on my electric scooter, not driving an automobile. Pandemic has made it impossible to drive to DMV to renew the license. Passport? No longer able to travel. Bad, bad, bad!

After almost two years, I came in to close my account on 9.5.18. One would think this would be a simple task. The manager cashed out my account, informed me that the next day my account would be closed. I received an email from Key Bank confirming my account was closed. On 9.6.18 I was called by that manager, who said I owe $20.99 for two transactions that were processed before my account was closed. Even though they didn't show up at the time I was in the bank. One was an auto debit, which should have been declined. The manager agreed and apologized. I came in and paid $21.00 and that manager said my account would be closed and no charges owed. Another manager named Rudy walked up while I was at the teller window and began to belittle me on the banks process, I asked Rudy 5 times to please stop and leave me alone. I have had previous bad experiences with this manager. Rudy continued to interrupt, not adhere to my request, and it was extremely embarrassing, as other customers were in the branch. I will NEVER recommend this branch. The ongoing problems with this manger Rudy is too long to list. Rudy (Manager) is extremely condescending, Today 9.7.18 I called as no one from the branch called me as promised to confirm my account was closed. I was informed by a teller (Traivis) that I now owed $31 of overdraft fees from those two transactions. I explained I didn't, and how both managers (Rudy) included said that by paying the $20.99 the account would be satisfied and closed. I asked the teller to have them email me today that both the account and now fees were closed and waived as promised. When I told the teller I was calling their corporate office to file a complaint the teller responded, "So even if we waive the fees and close your account you're still going to file a complaint" when I responded yes, the teller then stated they'll review the account and get back with. Are you seriously now going back on your word and holding fees as a bargaining chip so I don't file a complaint. I called back today almost two hours had passed. I was met with a woman teller who said after I explained everything - you shouldn't be charged, we'll waive the fees, and close the account. She even apologized. Promote her. I left Dustin a voicemail. He was on vacation and is the branch manager. Let this serve as a coaching moment. This bank doesn't offer any benefits for Veterans. I am a military combat veteran. King City on their "Welcome to King City" sign boasts that they have the most purple heart recipients than any other city in Oregon. Perhaps get in tune with your community and show some respect for those who sacrificed.

My husbamd recently passed away he has an account at the King City branch. Before his death we duscussed adding me to his account but his death was sudden and never got the chance to do it. I was making his funeral arrangements and needed to withdraw money to pay expenses. They refused to allow me any money. The teller and branch manager both were very condescending nott one ounce of impathy. I needed a death certificate, without funds funetal home couldn't do death certificate, so they drew uo a letter for ne to take to bank, still nothing. Went to vital records and received death certificate took it to bank they still wouldnt release funds so i could lsy husband to rest. They now said i needed to hire an estate attorney. I did and now it being 30 days since husband has passed and still his body remains at funeral home not yet processed and i have not been able to begin my healing process. The court has given me a Small Estate Affidavidt and i took it in a Hillsboro Key Bank branch and was assisted by a very sweet young lady, the very nexy dsy, today, she called me and said i could come get the funds. Before meeting with her i had decided to take all money out of Key Bank and into a credit union (over $48k) i will do this at the King City branch just to give them a slap in the face as they did mibe on day one. All i needed on that first day was some compassion but those two men were unable to muster up one single ounce. Shame, shame, shame.

      Response from the owner

Hello Sherryl, thank you for getting in touch. We apologize for the experience you have had. We understand that it's not easy dealing with the death of a loved one. Privacy regulations prohibit us from allowing anybody access to an account that is not listed as an authorized signer. In case where the only account holder is deceased we are required to be provided with a death certificate and executive papers to make sure that only the authorized party has access to the funds. We apologize for any inconvenience. Thank you.^CH
