Huntington Bank Reviews

Jordy Buck1I stopped in to close an account. The manager was very rude to me and was not helpful in the least. I was not advised on how to do do this smoothly, and ran into a lot of trouble because my account wasn't closed when it was supposed to. This bank has become very incompetent since it became a Hunting branch. I quit.

Erik Jackson1Horrendous doesn't even begin to describe my experience. Back in 2014, I became a Huntington Customer. I was a customer for three years. Overall, it was a good experience but I changed banks as I moved to a state with no physical Huntington Banks. Fast forward to 2021,I now live in a location with physical Huntington locations. I decided to open another account with Huntington with my second stint. With it being a new bank account, I decided to begin transferring my funds. I chose Mobile deposit. That was a huge mistake. My funds were placed on hold. I have bills to pay, so I decided to issue a stop payment. As a result of that stop payment, the fraud department decided to terminate my relationship with Huntington, even though I had established a good relationship for three years. I wasn't exactly a green customer. Though Mobile deposit creates a red flag, how come Huntington gave me the option to mobile deposit to begin with. Why was there mobile application not dynamic enough to prevent things like this from happening? This seems like an easy solution. Not all consumers are Fraud department experts. The branch representative was very helpful. The fraud department was not. They were unwilling to look at my past as a reliable customer. Overall, this is the worst banking experience of my entire life. I don't recommend Huntington National Bank.

Kelli Ramirez5Left my CU for Huntington about 5 years ago. Best decision I ever made! The level of customer service here is 100x better than any credit union.

Alexis Belland1Showed up in Drive Thru before closing hours because lobby is closed, waited 40 mins only to be told they closed now and can't help me right on my turn. My apt complex is having web issues and between them and the bank I can't pay my rent on time. Extremely unimpressed with the customer service.

Christy Noordhoek1Extremely disappointed with the service at this branch. I went in to close my over draft protection and the banker closed my checking account. She said it was no problem and reversed the closing and I left the branch. That afternoon I logged into my account and was not able to access it. I called customer service and was told it would take 3 days to reopen. I spoke with the branch manager and was told he would do what he could to speed that up. Long story short - while he was working on my account, the legal department red flagged my account and every one of my checks that were in process bounced. ($1000's of dollars) The bank paid any bounced check fees, as well they should but this was a three week process trying to repay these accounts. I was told by the bank manager that it would be easier for me to wait and repay the bills that I had bounced then for the bank to push them through again. I asked if there was anything they did for customers in this kind of situation... I see plenty of rewards for opening up new checking accounts and opening a visa card through them and he said he would look into it. It has been three weeks. I finally was able to repay the last bill that had bounced (had to wait that long for the account to be paid, realize the money wasn't there and then show a balance again) and I still have not heard from the bank manager. I do not mind that the teller made a mistake, no one does everything right every day - but I did not appreciate that when she made the mistake she allowed me to walk out saying "you're all set" . She should have called the bank manager over immediately so I knew that my online banking would be unavailable, funds would not be available for three days and what issues to expect with pending payments. As a customer of 20 some years, I would think that huntington would want to retain a customer after a mistake like this. Very disappointed.

Heather Jonker1This place has taken out $1500 of our account erroneously, have to wait 2 days for half of it to get put back, the other I have no idea about. Waiting for them to open. The teller swore a second payment would not be taken and yet it was.
