  The people are nice here, but the reason for 2 stars...the ATM NEVER WORKS!! In both Tryon and Columbus!! In one year, I think out of 10 times, 3 transactions have worked. I have needed to have cash in a number of occasions (imagine that)..it takes you through all the way to the end when you punch in the amount of withdrawal...then says 'sorry, unable to perform this task at this time.' WHAT OTHER TASK DOES IT DO IF IT CAN'T GIVE YOU MONEY??? On top of that, being from more modernized areas of the world, this is the only bank in the entire Western hemisphere that you can not deposit money using the ATM. It is not even an option. SO you have to go through the drive through, use the vacuum tube, or walk into the bank, fill out the paper, and go back to the 1970s just to make a deposit. Unbelievable. I sat for 20 min at the drive through, (as the only customer at Tryon) just to deposit cash. I actually had to ask if they had forgotten about me! The ATM takes 2 minutes. They also do not have an overdraft checking account protection (which every other bank has) that if you go over your balance it pays the item for you, then you are charged interest on the amount of overdraft (like a credit card you are approved for a certain amount..mine was 3k in Colorado). Nope. You go over by 5.00 here, you get charged 29.00. If you are one of the very wealthy, elderly people in Tryon that still walk to the bank for social hour, write checks and send things in the mail, you'll love this bank. If you're young, actually work and don't have time for nonsense, AND use an ATM (ever), and might go negative, ever...don't even consider this bank!

  I have Banked with this Bank for Many Years and They are The Best, Never had any Problems, Everyone is Always So Helpful and First Class Service ❤️

  I use the ATMs in Tryon and Columbus on a very regular basis. I never have any problem.
