  The mortgage experience was very confusing to us when we first started out looking. Chad was able to help us out on day 1 and we felt that we had at least a solid starting point. Getting pre-approved was the best, because then we could look at houses and know where our ballpark was at. He looked over our budgets and finances and helped us come to a conservative price point. I was recommended to this group and I will recommend anyone looking to your group as well. Very easy and very nice, felt like a valued person and not just a number being pushed through. Thank you!

  While the process of purchasing a home is stressful, overwhelming, and a lot of hard work, HomeRate Mortgage eased our minds and spirits as they guided us through the journey competently. We worked closely with Richard Sailors from HomeRate Mortgage, who answered all of our questions, responded quickly, and never made us feel like we were a bother. Furthermore, Richard was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the process even more fun. He connected us with impressive resources such as a mortgage broker, who could fit our schedule and personalities.   I’ve heard all of the testimonies of happy customers for years.....now I am one! Ben Phillips and Homerate Mortgage have actually made it possible for me to retire 15 years sooner!!! They were able to take our mortgage from 30 years to 15 and saving us over $86,000 in interest alone!!! From the first phone call I made to Ben to when we were sitting down to close on the refinance it took less than 30 days. The attorney who was handling the closing said that in all of the years of doing this he had never seen an interest rate this low! Thanks Ben and Homerate Mortgage!!!

  This is our second time using Home Rate Mortgage. They have been awesome through out the process of purchasing our home and doing our refinance! They are quick to respond to your questions and get you the paperwork you need to get the job done. We will for sure use them again for our next purchase/refinance.

  i was trying to purchase a home for my family and had been turned down by two mortgage companies in Chattanooga, so i decided to talk to Home Rate Mortgage and see what i needed to do to get my family in a position to purchase a home. I met with Chad Stockburger and after giving hime some information, he contacted me back to tell me that he had me approved to buy a home and to start shopping. 45 days after that conversation, we had found a home and Chad was able to close the loan and hand me the keys to our first family home! Chad was amazing through the entire process and made it simple to understand. I cannot remember Michael’s last name but he was amazing with helping me along the way as well. I am not able to say enough good things about my experience with them and buying this home. Guys my family and i thank you for all the hard work you put in to get us this house when no one else could.

  Called about a refinance & she took all my info & said I’ll look & call you right back. when she called back she said the person i need to talk to is out til monday but i see no problem. but I’ll send you a copy of your credit report. When she did that i called her back & said this stuff has been paid off then she said we can’t help you... just like that.... I do mot recommend them at all!

  Home Rate Mortgage gave me a great experience. Tara and her team were professional yet very personable. I can't think of anything they could have done differently. They would be my go - to company if I need another mortgage loan. Thanks Home rate mortgage. Yall are top dog in my book.

  They took all my info and said that everything looked good and that they would be calling me right back with refinance rates. They pulled my credit it was in the high 700s at the time but never called me back. My credit went down from the inquiry but I never received anything from them. I was approved by 2 other lenders but went with neither. They both sent me a notice stating that they had pulled my credit report and what they had found but nothing came from home rate. I bought my house through them and was hoping to refinance through them but it seems like they just forgot about me after 3 phone calls and a credit inquiry. I thought there was a legal requirement for them to send me something after pulling my report but 3 months later my file must just be unimportant.
