  I owe 244k. 1st month due roughly 1,360. I payed 95k. I called them to inform them to make first month payment, drop mpi, and apply rest balance to principle. They did none of it. They chose to pay 2 monthly payments, apply only 10k to balance, did not take off mpi, the 661 interest payment dropped only to 631. That is not correct as well. I've called multiple time to still not corrected. As of right now, they owe me couple hundred on interest. Unless this is rectified immediately, I'm refinancing with another company. Worst service I've ever experienced in my life regarding mortgage company. This is my 5th home and I'm 52 years old. Take my advice, go someplace else.

  Home point is simply the worst. They purchased my home loan. After purchasing, they wouldn’t allow me to make additional payments towards the principle. I found my original contract which didn’t have anything about not paying additionally. They said this was their “company policy”. In addition they claimed we didn’t have sufficient hazard insurance on the condo, this was provided by the HOA. I got a copy and provided it again. They informed me the proof I provided was sufficient. Our next statement had a policy of $99 in additional hazard insurance they had taken out on our behalf. In the end, I couldn’t get their customer service group to resolve either issue. I gave up since our plan was to sell the place in less then a year anyway. We are now with Mr. Cooper for our new home loan and they are fantastic if you want to go with a different option.

  THIS PLACE IS A TOTAL SCAM STAY FAR FAR AWAY!!! I AM DONE! homepoint has screwed us over too many times now. I am contacting BBB, the attorney General, and posting this review any possible place I can find on the internet to inform people not to ever use this company…EVER!!!! If you haven’t heard about the Home Point Financial reporting error ill explain what happen…homepoint one day in May decided to just randomly ding thousands of peoples credit score, saying that where 30 days, 60 days, 90 day late on their mortgage where these people had never missed a single payment and have a near perfect credit score of 800+…..taking off 100+ points in most cases off of peoples credit score and not ever replenishing the points all the way. Now again in July they have done the same exact thing and taken 18 points away, not much explanation but oh we will get it fixed and points reverse…NO YOU WILL STOP TAKING POINTS OR I WILL PERSONALLY SEE THIS BUSINESS BE NO MORE!!!! WATCH ME!!!! These people are literally the scum of the earth, they are ruining peoples credit scores who have had perfect credit forever. Now people are left with an effected credit score and rates higher then before so if we switch away from the company to get away from the worst mortgage company on the planet are monthly bill will go up because of rates! Another thing they do is throw it randoms fees on your bill whenever they please not explaining why and then when you call in you feel like you are talking to a 5 year old trying to explain why and what is going on. Sometimes even gracing you with one lady cussing you out on the phone all because you called in because THEY screwed up…the most unprofessional, unpleasant business I’ve ever encountered. THEY MAKE COMCAST LOOK PERFECT! Needless to say I am done and my goal is now to find a way out without effecting my mortgage payment, i’m not sure if this is even possible but i’m starting off with attorney general on Indiana where I live and then moving on to BBB and then copying this review on every site I can find! This place does not deserve to be in business and my goal in life now is to shut it down, and when i put my mind to something i make it happen so watch out homepoint here I come!!! I ENCOURAGE EVERYONE WHO HAS BEEN AFFECTED OR JUST HATES HOMEPOINT TO CALL YOUR ATTORNEY GENERAL AND EXPLAIN THE SITUATION AND THEN ALSO FILE A FORMAL COMPLAINT WITH BBB. WE CAN CHANGE THIS WE CAN PUT THEM OUT OF BUSINESS AND I WON’T STOP UNTIL THAT HAPPENS!

  Company started out okay now all is hell. Past month they have deposited my checks into mortgage and they have no record of it. Now I have to send my bank checks stating the money was withdrawn and they dont know where it i .

  My goodness I don't think I have anything nice to say about this company. Very rude customer service agents. If you can avoid this lender by all means do!

  worst customer service ever I got hung up on by crystal and the manager told me that she sided with her . stay away from them , this process is stressful enough dont need to ad impatience and rudness! if I could give zero star I would!
