  Decent builder if you want something that semi-custom. Standard floor plans with minimum amount of variations. You do get to select most of your finishes however like most builders they get you on all the upgrades as a standard houses in near what they show at the models. But we all know that's to be expected.

  We are proud owners of a brand new home . It’s all we wanted in looks and amenities .. houses aren’t built on top of each other and don’t look the same. All brick homes and we have a lake view of lake Travis .. it’s far out of Austin and peaceful and quiet !! Hiking trails, poolside and private boat access !! Love Lago Vista too

  I have been in this neighborhood for over 2 1/2 years. My family has two homes in this community (one highland and one MHI Wilshire). Highland is a good builder overall and would recommend again. The other builder is MHI (Wilshire) which is pathetic in so many aspects. Really consider your options before setteling for this builder If you want to build in this community, talk to Highland and consider paying a little more for a better built house, better construction managers, cleaner/easier construction process, more options, larger lots, truthful sales reps that back up their word, and honoring warranty issues. (FYI, MHI Wilshire has failed on ALL of these) Note that this is a beautiful neighborhood (best I think in all of Travis county) that has a price tag/some down sides with it. Every property has to pay an additional PID Tax yearly to the City (this is in addition to all other property taxes due to the county). Secondly, the HOA fee is currently $520 a year paid annually. Also, the pool is a public pool which means the neighborhood pays to maintain it, but the whole city can use it.... There is no beach, dock, fitness center to which Lakeside Tessera on Lake Travis falsely advertises....this has been an ongoing concern that the developer has never placed proper funds up to have these amenities built.
