  Best credit union in Schuylkill County! Always helpful and always giving back to their members. At other credit unions/banks in the area, you are just another number. They don't care about their members like Hidden River does. Thanks Hidden River staff for the amazing service! You are the BEST!

  For the two credit unions within Schuylkill County, I highly recommend HRCU. My experience with HRCU has been phenomenal. Customer service is excellent. I refer many friends, family and clients to Hidden River because of their very low interest rates. If you are looking for better rates, better customer service and looking to be more than just a number then check out Hidden River. Best credit union within Schuylkill county.

  I wanted to take a moment to call out the OUTSTANDING work done by Vicky Schach at the Hidden River Credit Union (HRCU). I used to use the credit union when it was a different name many years ago before my wife and I moved from Minersville to Seattle over 25 years ago. When we decided to move back home, I reached out to HRCU again to get pre-approved to purchase a new house. Even from 3000 miles away Vicky was able to help us get pre-approved and ready to buy a house within days. Given the mess of a process with which I had to deal selling my place in the Seattle area, Vicky was truly a breath of fresh air and made the entire process easy. When we flew home for closing on the house, she even came to the lawyer’s place with a Palermo pizza and Guers Iced Tea (out of her own pocket) to welcome us home. Frankly, Vicky should be heading up that loan department and showing others what real customer service is all about. The leadership had better do everything they can to keep her there or other Credit unions/banks are going to take her away.

  I've used this bank since they were Schuylkill County School Employees CU. I don't know what has happened, but it's gross. I used to LOVE this place, couldn't say enough good things about them. I guess with the merger or takeover they became greedy. They closed my account that I've had for my entire life for having a negative balance for "too long." No notification or anything. I hate what this bank has become, and I will never use or recommend HRCU to anyone EVER. Take your money elsewhere.

  When I moved into the area a few years ago, the staff at this credit union went out of their way to make sure my account transfers went smoothly. I hadn't been going there very long before they started remembering my name every time I came in. It's so nice feeling like I'm not seen as a dollar sign!

  I love being a member of Hidden River Credit Union! Interest rates on my loans and credit card are really low and they give back the members with giveaways and prizes every month. #1 in my book!

  I moved back to the area not long ago and wanted to continue using a credit union -- this is the place I picked. It's large, has a drive-up ATM on the side where the same drive-up banking is located. They allowed us to open an account on the premise we lived and worked in Schuylkill county. It was a time saver until we acquired our State issued IDs. Debit cards - Have the CHIP insert on them, but no ability to choose your PIN. That can be + or - for you. Have many of the standard fare offerings. Give them a try.

  The staff is always very helpful, whether I'm taking money out of my account or asking a question about a loan. I also really like how convenient the new Mobile App has made depositing checks.
