  I had a great experience with Scott at Hancock Mortgage. Aside from a low interest rate, it was a seriously smooth and easy transaction. I had a very bad experience with the "spaceship" mortgage company related to a VA refinance a few years ago ($8000 in closing costs for a $30,000 cash out refinance? Ridiculous!). Scott got me all the required documents from the military and VA, I barely had to lift a finger to get this done. When you're busy like me having your mortgage broker do the work required to earn his money/commission is a breath of fresh air. If you're a Vet, Scott is really great and he supports the Veteran community as well. He's a patriot like us! Highly recommend!

  Best Loan Officer EVER!! Being VA, it can get tricky. Scott Swinford did hands down the best job ever on our mortgage. Professional, friendly and dedicated to getting us Vets into good homes with the benefits we have earned. He goes above and beyond what you would expect to make the process as smooth as possible. If you want to us your VA loan in NWIN, there is no one besides Scott I would recommend.
