Shannon Marshall1The absolute worst bank I have ever dealt with. They won’t ever answer your phone calls, will lie directly to your face, and give you no explanation on anything. Not to mention, the management staff is incredibly rude. In the process of getting a minimal auto loan, I had them check all documentation prior to running my credit. They said everything is in order, it will be “an open and shut case.” Therefor, they ran my credit and said it was approved. Only for them to say because of the Bill of Sale, I needed documentation to prove the person was allowed to sell the car. I gave them proof that it could be sold, it wasn’t what they wanted. They won’t tell you the information that you need, nor can you speak to the underwriter of your loan. Coming from a finance manager, this establishment is a joke. There is no reason to play middle man and screen every incoming call to that extent. The staff hasn’t been given any proper training what so ever. Don’t make the same mistake I did, go anywhere but here for an auto loan and all of your banking needs. Update: Your branch manager didn’t reach out, it was the assistant branch manager. There was no confusion, all that was offered to me was the idea that I proposed to you the day before. I have proceed elsewhere with all banking needs. Not to mention, when I went in to close the account, I was NEVER asked for my ID. You can tell that customer security is taken seriously..

Sabine Miller2MAX of 2 stars. Would never get a car loan from Tech Credit Union again. They take my money early out of my bank account, then don't post it to the loan and send me late payment reminders every day via email and text - UNTIL I call them and ask them to stop. So last month the lady told me that someone FORGOT to put in place to automatically apply it to the loan and she was fixing it. She was nice. TODAY???? The female associate told me: Do you want to hear or do you want to CONTINUE ASSUMING? I gave her my feedback about her substandard Customer Service right there. She ignored that completely and instead went to tell me EXACTLY what the person the month before told me. Then said evidently the person before her didn't fix it. Their Customer Service is pitiful!!!

Scott Laughlin5The young lady that helped me with my loan was amazing in every way. Very courteous, knowledgable, kind, great attitude and very easy to talk too about any issues or questions that I had. Much respect for her. 5 stars for sure

Kristie Sandoval1Credit union that likes to take your money from you and charge you fees. Sign up for alerts, never get the alerts until after I’m charged fees. Then give me some excuse that is not relevant to the situation and proven to be a false statement. Same on going issue. Need to move my account.

Melonie Polley5I was very pleased with the organization of refinancing my auto loan. Kasie Landing was very polite and professional in the whole matter. She was organized and helped make the process very simple and convenient. I was not put out at any time with the whole process. She worked with my schedule and got things done in a timely fashion on her end. I was extremely happy with the rate and conditions of the loan. I will think of Tech CU for all my future accounts and business dealings. Thank you for the excellent service.

Robert Duffala4When my husband died I was overwhelmed with all the financial details that needed changing. It was necessary to change my actual account! All the people I spoke with and dealt with personally at Tech were sympathetic, yet genuinely interested in helping me correctly complete everything required. Even with Covid restrictions, I was able to make appointments with real people, and although I had to stay in the lobby, they were concerned enough to provide seating for me as my particular transactions took an extended amount of time. Thank you all.

Jacqueline K1Went to Lowell branch for a car loan refinance. Had a 10:00am appointment, I was shown to a small office. Loan person appeared, no smile, no greeting, no acknowledgement of my presence. It was a small auto refinance loan. She asked some questions muffled by a mask behind safety glass barely audible. I have NO outstanding debt and an incredibly high credit score, the approval process was unbelievably lengthy and more time consuming than when I had applied for a loan at a mortgage company. Finally after TWO HOURS the process was completed with NO explanation of monthly payments or total finance charge. No “thank you for choosing Tech” or anything. I’ve had several car loans in my adult life and never have had an experience like this. I can not, or will not ever recommend Tech to anyone.

Debbie Young5Our banker, Colleen Costello at the TCU Valparaiso Branch, is an angel. She did all the work to get us a new home equity loan and right before it was all finished, she realized that we could save a lot of money by getting a mortgage instead. So she forfeited all her work and referred us to a mortgage company that saved us TONS of money and it worked out beautifully. What banker does that??!! Well, our wonderful banker, that’s who! She told us that she just wanted the best for us. WOW!! You would never hear those words from a traditional bank, I can tell you that for sure. We are so happy that we switched to Tech Credit Union and found Colleen. We should have done it years ago. Thank you for all you do and we love being part of the TCU family.
