  We had such a positive experience working with Ariel Gunderson and her team at Guild Mortgage! We have now worked with her on two home purchases and one re-finance, and she goes above and beyond each and every time. Ariel is knowledgeable, prompt, and professional. With our most recent home purchase she once again answered all of our questions, kept us on track with the many details needed, and even helped us close on our home sooner than expected!   I recently purchased a new house and had to sell my old house. I choose Todd Seymour and Guild mortgage to handle the financing of the new house. Because the buyers on the sale of the old house went with an FHA loan. There were different real estate agents and financial institutions to deal with. There were many questions that needed an answer. And I feel Todd went above and beyond the normal duties of his job to retrieve those answers even though he and Guild Mortgage had nothing to gain from the sale of the old house. I feel Todd represented Guild Mortgage very professionally. He is a very polite and Very much a straight shooter of a guy. I wouldn't hesitate to use him again.

  Ariel Gunderson was fast, professional and relational. She even let me know I could be saving on my current Home Owners policy, which I was able to make happen before submitting our docs. Our refi was painless and the easiest I have ever experienced in my 25 + years of home ownership. Huge Kudos to Ariel... this is an undertaking that I dread and put off but in the future I know who to call right away! BTW I HATE doing reviews and rarely do them but this one was worth letting you know about!

  My wife and I worked with Shane at the NW Guild office. We were very pleased with his professionalism and quality of work. We had shopped around and looked at other mortgage brokers prior to visiting Guild and were left underwhelmed.   I chose to finance my recent home purchase in Portland, OR via Guild Mortgage and it was an absolute disaster. Guild Mortgage doesn't understand the severity of the situation of home-buying. This is the biggest investment in a typical persons life and they treat it with utter disregard and lack of empathy for how you feel. The underwriter at Guild Mortgage will seek personal information from you beyond required by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and their underwriters are incompetent to understand your investments in assets and commodities. You are not allowed to explain your finances or communicate with the underwriters, all your explanation will fall into deaf ears. I discourage anyone seeking mortgage to avoid Guild Mortgage at any cost, and go to your local credit union or whatever other mortgage lender your have in your area.
