When I first started looking for a mortgage company I was terrified of all the that had to go into it and just heard horror stories of some companies. A friend of mine recommended to call Rudy Ferrante at RMS. I can't tell you how calm he made me feel about the whole process right from the start. His positive attitude and great energy- it's like he was just as excited to get a house as I was. The whole process from start to finish was flawless. Rudy and his assistant Lauren were a dynamic duo. Both were so responsive and answered any questions I had with no hesitation. Rudy got me an AMAZING rate- no one could beat it. We closed in 3 weeks- which was earlier than expected. Rudy got it done!!! I'm sure this won't be my last home I will buy, so Rudy will definitely be seeing me again in a few years!!! Iman Elamin1My experience with Kevin Young, branch manager, at RMS, was surprisingly TERRIBLE. I am taken aback at the text messages he has sent me. Initially, he was very pleasant and easy to interact with while my loan was getting approved. However, when my family faced some tough circumstances and the sale had to frustratingly (for all parties) be delayed a couple of times, Kevin got angry. He was no longer professional via text messages; despite me telling him a family member was ill, he told me that I have wasted his time and energy as well as the time and energy of others. Due to my circumstances (which I have no control over and tried VERY hard to work around), he told me he doesn’t understand what he has been working on - he told me my family “just took off” even though I had explicitly said it was urgent and had on multiple occasions expressed that there was suffering involved. Our interactions have been extremely unkind. I am sure he is a wonderful person, but I felt I owe people this review — if you are struggling and hoping to work with someone compassionate and easy to work with, RMS may not be for you. If things do not pan out perfectly, you and your entire family may be scolded for it, regardless of the circumstances. There was no respect, no kindness, no professionalism, and no empathy. A loan officer must know that things sometimes just do not work. Humans come with suffering and fluctuations and loss, and they should not be made to feel bad for it because a loan officer is angry. According to Kevin Young: “I treat every customer I see the same as I would want to be treated -- with the highest level of respect and customer service.” This is simply not true. He offered me and my family no respect even though we tried our best to advance a sale. Thank you,

Eric Abrantes1I received a notice in the mail that my loan has already been sold to a 3rd party. I never even had time to make a payment to RMS before they sold the loan to another company. Looks like my new loan is with Lakeview Loan Servicing and will be serviced by LoanCare LLC on their behalf. I looked up some reviews online, and people have horrible experiences with both of them. I had multiple Banks and mortgage service companies I could have obtained my mortgage from. I went with RMS due to my real estate agent's suggestion. Now I feel like this has been a bait and switch, and I will have to deal with a horrible loan servicing company because I chose RMS. I will be telling everyone I know to avoid RMS in the future.

Vincent Grassi3Pretty good to deal with throughout the mortgage acquisition process. Definitely disappointed in the quick sell off of the loan to one of the "big guys." I get it, they are in the business to write loans, not manage them. Just wish I knew beforehand. If you don't want your loan sold off to unknown entity, steer clear of RMS.
