  Gavin has helped us with three home purchases and many refinancing opportunities. This past winter 2020, he went above and beyond for us. I don't think we would have been able to achieve our dream of owning lake property without his help. He made sure we had the resources (staff and knowledge) readily available to us.   Gavin and Brian worked with my wife and I on our first rental property investment. They were both very knowledgeable and easy to work with. Any time we had a question we were able to get in contact with Brain or Gavin right away. At one-point Gavin and I were talking at 9:30 PM on a Saturday, due to my crazy work schedule.   I had an absolutely amazing experience working with Tom. He was knowledgeable, personable, and on top of everything a true professional. His spreadsheets were absolutely remarkable and made finding the best option a breeze. We ran into some problems (on my end) with securing the loan and Tom was an absolute bulldog and worked his tail off for us to ensure the sale of our new house went through. Although my house was only $200,000, Tom made me feel like he was dealing with a $1 million property. He was kind, compassionate, relentless and someone I am very lucky to say I will have a relationship with the rest of his career. I would absolutely, 100% recommend Tom and Guidance Mortgage.   There is so much that I would love to share about this company but to sum it up, nothing but downright amazing! I had a difficult mortgage to say the least but guidance mortgage stood with me, walked me through everything and got me a the best rate. Even the when I didn’t understand something, they would take the time to walk me through it, explain the options and make sure I understood what I was picking. They handle everything that we needed for the closing, making it a breeze. It wasn’t just that they did their jobs well, they enjoyed them! I base all of my business interactions on customer service. No matter what, service is everything. Guidance mortgage has earned my business and they will be the only one I turn too. I will refer them to everyone that I come across, in the market and highly suggest you check out the team they have there. It will be the last stop in the long line of looking for a mortgage company.

  Gavin worked with me on two transactions in two years and was absolutely phenomenal in his base of knowledge and his ability to explain the different options in a way that always made sense to me. My family's situation is that we knew we were in WI for a limited number of years so it didn't make sense to pay lots of points/fees for an ultra low rate that we wouldn't be around to take full long term advantage of, so Gavin showed me the different no closing cost options with total-amount-paid variables depending on how long we held the loan and ultimately it worked out beautifully. In fact, I recently accepted a position with my company outside of WI and I contacted Gavin to see if he could broker the loan. It didn't work out for that state because of licensing, but he still spent 20 minutes providing me some great advice to help me with the process. Highly recommend!

  I had a fantastic experience with Guidance Mortgage. To be even more specific with Tom Counsell. I was a first time home buyer and he took the time to explain all my questions and even answered a lot of my questions before even asking. Tom is extremely good at what he does and is very friendly and easy to talk too. One of the best things that I will always remember about Tom is how quickly he would get back to you even after hours. We would receive answers to our emails late at night sometimes. He always kept us informed on everything and never left a stone unturned when wanting us to understand what something was or when things were due by. I have no doubt that any of my future needs will be working with Tom.
