  I stopped by to see items from Craigslist. Items were as described and the staff was helpful and cool! They had low prices and were not trying to hard sell. In fact, they went out of their way to ask me what I liked and gave me time to browse. I will buy from them again! I recommend highly!

  A few months back I brought in a Dunhill lighter that was used maybe 10 times in 20+ years (very good condition). The helper took the lighter to the back to determine a value. After 10 minutes, he came back with an offer that I politely refused. I said thank you and left. Well, I decided to use the lighter yesterday and discovered that pieces were replaced with used, blackened ones! And it no longer works! I called the store back and spoke to the same "manager" that changed the pieces of my lighter! He says that he remebers the lighter and that it was used already. Pure B.S. The "manager" is lieing through his teeth. If a manager at Granters is willing to lie and cheat over a lighter, can you imagine the level of lieing and cheating on larger deals? I would really like to speak to Vito or the Owner please!

  Lonny please call the store and leave your phone number so Vito can find out exactly what happened. I am sorry you are dealing with this but I am 100% confident there must be a mistake or misunderstanding and we can work together to figure it out. As you stated you have been in our shop more than ten times over 20 years and we all take extreme pride in our customer service as well as our ethics and morals ! Granters does not have any new, used or spare lighter parts and we have not had a Dunhill lighter in the shop as far as I can remember for a while. We have bought and sold a handful of Dunhill lighters over the years but it is not an item we inventory. I pulled up sold Ebay listings of Dunhill lighters for reference and there was a range from $58 to $200 SOLD recently. Granters has a valued 75 year reputation you can trust and lying and cheating is not apart of it or tolerated / accepted. Vito

  Love this place!, I have come here for everything from antiquing, collectables , last minute anniversary gift and Christmas shopping. The first time I came here it was for a loan. Husband and father of five I had just completed truck driving school and landed my first job. I didn't know how i would make it to my first pay check. Big Tony put me at ease & got me enough for gas and groceries till I got paid- forever grateful! THANKS GRANTERS

  I am glad that Granter Jewelry & Loans is around. I Just recently found myself short on cash due to an unexpected expense that had come up. I really didn't know what to do. Then I remembered that I seen Granter's on San Pablo Ave., I went in to see what they were all about. I remember that the staff was very nice and very patient with me, (since I had a lot of questions). They took they time to explain how they worked and how they could help me. I went home and brought back to them a camera to use as a pawn. They gave me some cash and that surely helped me! I went back the next week to get my camera back and I thanked the staff. I have a full time job, but even so, sometimes life can throw you a curve ball when you don't expect it and you need cash right away. Thanks Granter Jewelry & Loan!

  A friends friend needed to sell his wedding ring and had never been to a pawnshop . . He said he was treated with kindness, got what he needed and had so much fun talking guitars with Dave. Thanks for taking care of your customers so well!!

  They was very helpful. I was so undecided on what jewelery i wanted cause there was so much to choose from. Me being undecided on what i wanted they were so patient with me. I decided on a nice ring and necklace. Totally satisfied.
