  Had a great experience with Chris. He educated me more than any other previous lenders I've worked with, and was there to answer any questions I had throughout any part of the process. More importantly, he was able to help us close extremely fast in just 21 days! Also, he was very responsive throughout the whole process and kept me up-to-date on the latest updates, which gave me the assurance I needed to know that we would close quickly.   I had a great experience working with Chris. He was very professional and extremely knowledgeable about home loans.   Funny how I found Chris through Reddit. His knowledge regarding real estate, loans, and the economy was what made me decide to refinance with him. He was very efficient, transparent, and honest. This was refreshing compared to past experiences with others where it felt like a lot of smoke and mirrors. Details matter when we're talking about the largest loan of our life! We were able to refinance at all time lows last year in a timely manner. I also liked how he uses streamlined websites to manage his schedule and paperwork processing. I learned a lot through his consultation sessions and continue to do so through social media. For no-nonsense professionalism, Chris is the guy! Will definitely work with him again if we ever have real estate financing needs.

  Chris was referred to us by a family friend and we're thankful he was! He's easy to work with and he was extremely knowledgeable from the start. I appreciated his patience with me as I am self-employed, so this was all a first for me but once I got him the documents needed on my end, the rest was cake. My husband and I needed a strong offer on a home that is now ours ;) and Chris was able to assist in the process.   We talked with three different mortgage brokers and chose Chris because he was clearly much more knowledgeable and experienced than the others. Chris worked at a lightning speed to close our mortgage and kept us informed at every step of the way. If we did another mortgage we'd certainly go with Chris again.

  I found Chris to be the best mortgage broker I've worked with. Incredible speed! Got my entire loan approved (in 24 hours) and cleared to close (in 2 weeks), both record time by industry standards since I wasn't a regular W2 profile. I had spoken to other mortgage professionals, even submitted my docs to them, only to get radio silence or terrible rates. When Chris saw my docs he knew how to do it and boom, it was done! I was able to close in 3 weeks when others said 2 months. Would highly recommend Chris if you value speed, communication, and closing.

  After a great home purchase experience with Chris Mason & his team a few years ago, I recently returned to him to handle two refinances that I wanted to do. Once again, I was reminded that Chris is a consummate professional who knows everything there is to know about mortgages (and then some). Chris walked me through the many options I had and helped me narrow my choices down to what would work best for my needs. If you get thrown a curve ball (in this case, it was a good one - got an appraisal waiver on one of the refi's), Chris is right there with you to help you understand the situation and how best to proceed. Chris's knowledge, expertise, and wisdom meant less hassle, faster processing, and better rates for me. [PREVIOUS REVIEW, FROM 2020]: Chris was my mortgage broker for my recent home purchase. I had an aggressive timeline and thanks to Chris we pulled it off. His knowledge about mortgage products and the home buying process is vast, and he leverages that to your advantage as a home buyer. He takes your situation and your needs into account to get you the best outcome. And Chris isn't a time-waster, you owe it to yourself to take a few minutes to see what he can do for you.

  As a first time home buyer, Chris was great. His posts on an online real estate forum had already helped to educate me on the topic, and so, he was the natural choice when I sought to purchase my first house in the East Bay. Although I did shop around, I found Chris to offer the best combination of fast closing, rate, and communication/transparency. In this market, fast closing and having a lender willing to proactively bat for you are crucial, and Chris is able to hold up his end of the deal. Everything was done via an online platform and docusign, and thus was very convenient for us. I noticed some other reviews complaining about communication - in my experience, the best way to get a quick answer to a question is to call or text him directly, rather than emailing. We closed 4 weeks after getting into contract, which was a great feat given the nationwide appraisal shortage. If I ever need another mortgage or potential refinance down the road, I'll know who to call.
