Granite Credit Union Reviews

Warren Stott1If I could give 0 stars I would. These people have lost what customer service means. All I needed was change for $100 dollar bill. The teller said that unless I have an account with them they would not do it. Well guess what? Because of this I will NEVER have an account with them EVER. My mom has an account and I will talk her into changing credit unions to mine. I will also be telling my sister that has a business account with them that they should switch Credit unions to my credit union too. Oh and by the way the credit union 50 yards away form you gave me change with no problems. no wonder your reviews are 3.4 stars. These kinds of top down poor customer service policy is inexcusable and should be punished by people walking away from doing business with them.
Response from the ownerAppreciate the feedback Warren, and sorry your experience was such a disappointment.

Scott _1Hands down THE worst bank on this planet. I was diagnosed with Covid and was out of work for two weeks. I asked to simply skip my car payment and they sent me a form that is straight up like applying for a new loan. Asking for my job title, income and so many other questions. I have never been so dissatisfied with a bank especially during these tough times. I have a credit card with Cyprus and it took 5 seconds to go online select I was sick and my payment was skipped. I will never ever recommend this Granite bank to anyone. I am also currently having a few friends and family members switch from this terrible bank. 0 stars
Response from the ownerHi Scott, skipping a payment is usually no big deal, especially related to Covid, so I'm really sorry to hear your experience fell short of expectations. We appreciate your feedback and will work to get better. Hope you are on the mend and feeling better.

Glen Garets5The staff is always helpful and friendly when I go in and need some help. The way they handle all their members concerns is nothing short of professional. I started banking at Granite Credit Union when i was a teenager because this is where my parents banked. Now as an adult i stay here because i feel valued as a member and know that I will get the best banking rates, and know they truly are there to help!

Steve1My experience with the bank tellers here have not been pleasant. Working with two of the lady’s they seem like they hate their job. It’s clear they don’t like when you ask any questions and with their response just makes you feel uncomfortable. Time to switch credit unions.
Response from the ownerWell that’s not good. Thanks for letting us know Steven. Sorry we fell short. We’ll look into it and work at getting better.

Marsha Kimberlin5I have banked with Granite since 1972 with friendly tellers and staff. What goes around comes around. I make mistakes so I'm understanding when those I'm dealing with make mistakes. A bank teller is not a high paying job for what they put up with from the public and the pressure is on as they deal with money. They always do their best. Cut them some slack.
Response from the ownerMarsha, Thank you for your review. Your long time membership with us is greatly appreciated. If there is anything you need in the future don't hesitate contacting us.

Valerie Espitia2I always have so many issues when I come to this branch. Their teller has forgotten to give me my card back twice through the drive thru. Another time the same teller tried to tell me the amount of cash I gave her to deposit in my account was not how much I had given her. I love the branch in Walmart at Jordan landing. Sad that my local branch has such bad service, I love this bank and their other branches but the taylorsville location just has so many issues.
Response from the ownerValerie, sorry we didn't meet your expectations :( We'll make sure your concerns get shared with the staff at Taylorsville and we'll keep working to do better.

Nadine Oblad5I've been coming to this bank since I moved to Utah almost three years ago. My husband's family has been banking with them for YEARS. They have always been wonderful and accommodating! Ruth is an absolute gem; kind, sweet, knowledgeable, and attentive. I love it here!

Broudy Williams1Went in to look up setting up a bank account. The banker was friendly or social, she just asked my I'd and ran a background check and a credit check without letting me know that she was doing that. I wasn't aware till I was reading the paper work

Hello There5Ladies at this location are really rude and don’t have any customer service skills! Zero stars if I could!!!! I would like to update my review. I came into this location a couple days ago. After not coming for awhile. They have new/different staff that we’re really nice and helpful.
