  Very impressed! We worked in the Indianapolis office with Matt Milender. While we ultimately decided not to refinance, Matt worked really hard to evaluate our options and the market rates. Ultimately, it made the most sense for us to stay in our current loan, and that was what Matt advised us to do. I really appreciated that he did not try to push something on us that ultimately didn't make sense for our family and finances just to get a sale. Honest and helpful. He even found that our current mortgage company was over charging us on taxes and guided us on how to get that remedied. Though a refinance wasn't the best option for us at this time, we will use Golden Oak in the future.

  Robert from Golden Oak was Amazing. He took his time and thoroughly explain the process and was very patient with us from start to finish. This is hands down the company I will be using if I decide to buy another home or refinance.

  Tom was amazing from the very first phone call to the completion of my loan process. Excellent communication throughout and he always had my best interest his #1 priority. I've never worked with anyone as personable and efficient as Tom! I would highly recommend him and I wouldn't do business with anyone else!

  Absolutely the worst mortgage company in Indianapolis. Stay away they lie to u to close loans.very undermining and unethical business practice

  Greasy and dishonest. Loan officer (Tom Theiss) told us that cash to close for a loan of the amount requested would be 5-6k. Weeks later we have an accepted offer, loan officer calls me the day after and informs me that cash to close will now be 15k and suggest that I start asking family and friends for money. Immediately got in touch with the team at Midwest bankers (realtor recommended). Golden oak refused to produce an itemized list of where all the new fees came from, Midwest bankers came in, processed my loan in 3 weeks allowing me to close on time, cash to close was less than 5k flat. SAME INTEREST RATE. Please check out Midwest bankers before going through golden oak.

  I have worked with Mike from here several times and he has been a great communicator and problem solver each time. I know when I work with him, he is going to prioritize getting me the best deal, rate, product, etc. every time and makes sure it fits the needs of my situation. He's been able to make options work for me when I've hit road blocks several other places.

  Tom was absolutely outstanding with our refi! We cashed out more than we anticipated, and when a hiccup in the approval process occurred, he made sure we were in the clear and had the right documentation. Very fast process also. These guys are the best and you will not be disappointed.

  This was our second time refinancing our home. We decided to try Golden Oak Lending this time around. I called their office and they put me in touch with Robert Chastain. He was amazing from the very first phone call! He was very detailed and informative. He let me know immediately what documents we would need to submit to get the refinance process underway. I sent everything to him that evening. He kept me updated by email and phone calls. He let me know ahead of time if any additional documents might be requested by the underwriters. I was completely amazed at how quickly this process was for us! When we refinanced our home the first time, 5 years ago, we had called our mortgage company at the time and they started the refi process. We ended up working with someone out in California (when we live in Indiana) and it was a long, drawn out process that took nearly 8 weeks to complete and it was a complete pain. With Robert at Golden Oak, we closed in a month and it was a completely pain free process!! We were ecstatic and we got an amazing rate! They even allowed the option of a mobile notary and we could finish the closing of the process at our home after work. Overall, we were extremely happy with the entire process and thrilled we are saving so much on our new monthly mortgage payment and we were able to skip 2 mortgage payments after closing! 🙌🏻We highly, HIGHLY recommend Robert Chastain and Golden Oak Lending to anyone who is wanting to get a better mortgage rate and monthly payment!   If you are trying to get a finance/refinance for your home, call Matt Milender at Golden Oak Lending. He not only goes above & beyond what is expected for his clients, he is informative & always willing to answer any questions/concerns that you might have regarding your loan/application. He provides you his best advise on whats best for you. Especially if you’re trying to become a new home owner. He is very patient even if you have thousand questions either through his email or texts, he responds back to you if not that hour but within a day. I’ve dealt with Matt with my new home as well as refinancing & I will not deal with anyone else. I have had the best experience with Matt & you will too.
